We seek one or two people (a couple) that will work all aspects of the business. This is an assistant manager position at a small, but sometimes extremely busy, waterfront property. You will be living on site, considered essential personnel and will work in all areas of the property including, but not limited to, housekeeping, laundry, guest services, front desk, reservations and maintenance issues. Candidates must have PRIOR HOSPITALITY EXPERIENCE!!! This position requires strong communication and computer skills, 2nd person with front desk/marketing/maintenance experience is a plus. Housing is a brand new three bedroom, full bathroom private cottage that includes water and sewer. As Assistant Manager, you report to Resort Operations Manager and are required to be flexible with your schedule. You will be required to work every day in peak season and holidays and be on-call if needed. We will do our best to schedule time off in slower season. The ideal couple applicant must have hotel experience, excellent customer service and communication skills, enjoys interacting and caring for guests, has excellent computer skills, honest, self-motivated, energetic, organized, can multi-task and is ready, willing and able to perform handyman tasks.

Job responsibilities include the following but not limited to:

·      Manage the day to day business operations including reporting and reconciliation

·      Welcome guests with a tour of property. Provide exceptional guest service to all hotel guests.

·      Manage all guest reservations by phones & online in a professional and courteous manner.

·      Responsible for rate management internally and with externally with third-party vendors.

·      Handle all guest requests and/or concerns in a professional and courteous manner including any conflict resolution.

·      Oversee social media accounts including Facebook, Instagram, Constant Contact, and other marketing for the hotel.

·      Prepare and set out continental breakfast daily.

·      Supervise housekeeping staff including daily inspection of cleaned rooms.

·      Perform general maintenance of property – all with a “can do” attitude.

·      Manage inventory of hotel supplies including cleaning supplies and linens.

·      Responsible for laundry maintenance for towels and blankets only – external service for all other linens.

Looking for experienced couple with excellent references to work for 2 adults, as a live-in domestic couple in Roxbury Ct.-duties include: full housekeeping, laundry,family cooking at times (as family employs a chef), formal service, outside proprety maintenance,gardening, vehicle care,chauffeuring (both must drive) and requires the gentleman has had experience driving in New York City. 

The couple is provided with a separate private house on the property. The position also requires that at times when needed, the couple works alongside other staff members in the family's New York City apartment and will function as a live-out couple. When working in New York City the couple will be provided with an apartment that is within a short commuting distance from the family's apartment. Salary $160-170,000 DOE, + 50% paid health insurance, life insinsurance  401k , 2 weeks vacation.
