Seeking 2018 Resort Couple for Charming Log Cabin Resort - Grand Marais, MN

We are looking for a friendly, hard-working couple to work side by side with the owners and their two young sons.  Located on the edge of the Boundary Waters with endless outdoor recreational opportunities,  you are sure to spend your time off enjoying the outdoors. We have eight original log cabins built in the 1920's and a main lodge where we serve breakfast and dinner to guests and off-road tourists.  Our place is small, rustic and charming and accomodates 30 people at a time.  This allows for each employee to truly interact with guests on a daily basis, making each person's role one that intimately impacts each guest's stay. 

Dates:  May through September (we are flexible)

Rate:  $10 an hour per person plus tip share and end of season bonus!

Room and Board:  Housing, Internet, Utilities, and Laundry are provided for all employees at no cost.

Getting Around:  Because of our remote location you will need a car to drive to town to pick up groceries/gas/etc.  We live 39 miles up the Gunflint Trail and Grand Marais is the nearest city.  

Tasks and Duties:  Willing to work long hours with flexibility, must be able to work without a great deal of supervision, and must be able to take and follow directions.  Some tasks you will perform on a daily basis may include cleaning guest cabins, cleaning the lodge and its common areas, tending to laundry, serving breakfast and dinner, washing dishes, mowing, landscaping, painting, trail clearing, fixing minor maintenance issues in cabins, refueling and bilging boats, cleaning fish for guests, answering phones, and checking in guests.

We are looking for a friendly couple to work side-by-side with the owners and one other work camper couple in a relaxed and scenic environment.  Must be able to look at what needs to be done then take the initiative to take care of it.

General Duties:  short order breakfast cooking; opening or closing store; cleaning and restocking store; store sales; registrations and reservations; pool maintenance; cleaning bathrooms, cabins, laundry room and recreation room; mowing, weeding, plant care; pumping propane. 

We are seeking a couple who can cook at the breakfast cafe on two mornings per week and assist with the store and cleaning and maintenance, cover cleaning and maintenance on the third morning, and cover evening shift two days per week.

40 hrs/wk per person from May through mid-September.

Physical requirements: must be able to hear and respond over the telephone; long periods of standing, walking, bending, and possibly kneeling; some lifting up to 50 lbs. may be required.

Job qualifications: general knowledge of computer operations.  Knowledge of KOA Kampsight software a plus! Short order cook experience. Cleaning, maintenance experience.

We are looking for a bilingual couple to commit long term to "house sit and manage" while we travel. We have 2 dogs to take care and six cats. . Responsibilities include managing the farm workers and taking care of the place in general. Must be fluent in Spanish and English.

There is no salary, but you will have a place to live, free internet, electricity, potable water and a food stipend. To manage the hotel part you will get commissions for all the sells you do and all clients we receive.
