Want to try out Workcamping for a short term? - Welaka, FL

Interested in trying out the Workamping lifestyle, but don’t want to commit to a long stay? We have a perfect opportunity for you!  Welaka Lodge & Resort is in need of help beginning mid June, but our real need now is to cover July and August while some of our regulars are on vacation. We do have an ad running for a couple who could stay through October, which would be even better, but if you’d like to try workamping for a couple months, this could be the way to do it!

We are a small, friendly “Old Florida” resort with a pool, huge community spa, 8 cottages and 19 RV sites in the little rural town of Welaka. We have a 5 star rating on www.tripadvisor.com. 

In exchange for working, we offer a full hookup site with wifi and ½ price at our Boathouse Bar on the river. On Sunday afternoons from March through October, we have the grill open serving chicken & fish sandwiches, hamburgers, fries, brats & hot dogs. The bar is also open for beautiful sunsets on Friday & Saturday evenings when we serve light snacks such as pizza. (Please note that we do not offer monetary compensation).

Schedules are made on Friday based on the number of cottages to be cleaned, so there are not set work days, but we are always off on Saturdays. Some weeks we work fewer hours & others more, but hours would average 20 hours per week per couple.

In most cases, the gentlemen handle outdoor light maintenance such as pool cleaning, blowing leaves off cottage porches, checking hot tubs,etc. Ladies spend most of their hours cleaning our beautiful cottages.

Camp Hosts Needed - Darby, MT

A small resort located in Darby in the Bitterroot Valley of southwestern Montana is looking for workcampers to assist with housekeeping and various building and landscape projects plus office duties, lawn maintenance, and light building maintenance.  We would like a dependable couple who are non-smokers, team players with people skills, and in good physical condition.

This position is very flexible allowing the workcampers ample free time.  You will live onsite in your own RV with full hookups (water, sewer, electric, cable TV and wifi).  Office time is spent answering phone calls, making reservations, and checking in guests.  Workers will be provided a cordless phone/intercom allowing them to work conveniently in their RV or anywhere onsite as opposed to sitting in the office.  Lawn maintenance includes occasional mowing and weed eating as necessary and monitoring the irrigation system.

A salary will be paid for the housekeeping services, building projects and periods of time when the owners will be away.  At that time, the workcampers will take over management of the resort.  Preferred commitment is from mid-May through mid-October, 2017.

Office and Maintenance/Remodeling Positions, Live On-site (55+ Community) - Davenport, FL

Our community is located near I-4 and US-27 in Davenport, Florida and has approximately 300 small homes. We operate similar to an apartment community. The homes are rented on a yearly basis, and we provide all of the maintenance. The majority of our homes are occupied by seasonal/winter, "snowbird," Residents. Our community is age restricted, for 55 and older.

We are looking to add members to our team - someone to help in our onsite office and someone to help in maintenance/remodeling. Couples and individuals are both welcome to apply. Applicant(s) do not have to be over 55. We are open to part-time or full-time hours.

We would like someone/couple to live onsite in one of our 1 bedroom homes. We are a 100% NON-smoking property, so applicant(s) must be non-smokers. A cat or dog under 25 lbs at maturity is allowed. (A second cat will be considered.)

Management Team for Self-Storage Facility - Santa Clarita Valley, CA

We are looking for a self-storage resident management team couple, for immediate hire, who is energetic, professional, outgoing self-starters with the ability to multi-task, self-direct and manage the day-to-day operations of a 700+ unit self-storage facility. 

Minimum 2 years experience.  Must have general working knowledge of a PC and be familiar with Word, Excel, and self-storage management software.  Must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to perform collections.  Normal maintenance, upkeep, and appearance of facility is required.

Resident management team couple must live on-site, be available to work weekends, have high school diplomas, current valid California's driver licenses, be bondable, and be able to pass background and credit check.

Seeking Live-in Gardener/Rental Manager for Home - Princeton, IL

I am seeking a couple that would occupy one of my vacation rental homes in an exurb of Chicago. The home is close to Amtrak and day trips into Chicago are possible, however a vehicle will be required for running local errands, etc.

The home has high speed internet and sits on a wooded ravine with about 5 acres of land. The ideal couple would live in the  the home and handle occasional guests in a Bed and Breakfast type of setting. The home is older and has sat vacant over the winter, so some initial work to bring it up to a bristol standard would be required. 

If one or both of you are handy, I'm happy to have you take on projects (painting, exterior maint, etc), or at the very least manage others who come in to do work. Otherwise most of the day to day will be involved with maintaining the landscaping which consists of a variety of trees, native perennial beds, and traditional lawn.
