OVERVIEW OF JOB:

As our Family-Teaching Couple, you will provide direct care for 6-8 at-risk youth through creating a safe and loving family style living environment. Living on-site in a Boys Town Family home, together you will provide youth with moral, spiritual, and educational development needed for future success. This includes providing emotional support utilizing praise, positive feedback, affection, and empathy to build ones self-confidence and respect. Through the use of the Boys Town Model, you will guide and teach youth appropriate skills and behaviors. Using rational problem solving techniques you will teach youth critical thinking skills, assist with behavioral problems, counsel through personal issues, and provide crisis intervention when needed. As our Family Teaching Couple you will plan, participate, and provide opportunities for individual and family activities that are both educational and entertaining. Through displaying and teaching parenting, family, and relationship skills to youth, legal guardians, and caretakers you will help create collaborative relationships and family engagement. You will maintain contact with both internal and external consumers/agencies to obtain and/or provide information regarding youth's behaviors, strategies, and progress.

As our Family Teaching Couple, you will be responsible for maintaining and preparing written records for household budgeting, tracking youth progress, reporting incidents/behaviors, and documenting youth medical needs and appointments. You will continually provide support for educational success through monitoring youth academic performance. Additionally, you will teach and role model Boys Town values and ethical behaviors, as well as support and encourage participation in regular religious activities. As our Family Teaching Couple you will be responsible for supervising the activities of your assigned Assistant Family Teacher to aid in their development and success. Additionally, you will manage the daily operating schedule of the home; assist with youth transportation needs, and overall household upkeep. This position can also be referred to as houseparent or house parent.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, OR SKILLS

• Be at least 21 years of age or older, except if applying for Washington D.C. due to contractual requirements one must be at least 22 years of age or older
• High School diploma or equivalent is required, some college credit is preferred
• A valid driver's license with a good driving record and the ability to pass a MVR Check
• Ability and desire to work and live with youth
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Flexibility and willingness to work a wide array of hours, which will include days, evenings, weekends and holidays
• A willingness to learn and implement all phases of the Boys Town Home Model, including all intervention and administrative functions
• Proven record of sound judgment and ability to work with children in a mature and responsible manner
• Ability to pass a thorough background check and reference verification procedure in order to determine one's fitness to satisfactorily and safely care for youth

JOB DESCRIPTION 

At Mill Creek Resort each of us is a Jack or Jill of all trades & jobs. We're currently seeking to fill positions in:

Housekeeping:

Provide thorough cleaning on cabins & additional accommodations.  May require heavy lifting.  

Guest Services:

Staff will be trained on our reservation & booking system, guest check-ins & outs, credit card & cash handling procedures and all information relating to the resort & local area. 

Restaurant Server:

Greeting and seating guests in the restaurant, taking orders, serving beer & wine, helping with food prep, washing dishes, & general cleaning duties. 

General Maintenance:

Must possess a valid and current driver's license. Perform maintenance or repair on interior & exterior of cabins and other facilities. Determine needed preventative maintenance and repair of plumbing systems, electrical systems, carpentry, etc.  Heavy lifting required. Groundskeeping including raking the campground area, burning & splitting wood.

Full time, live in postion for energenic/service orientated couple, start date to be determined. Help me manage, maintain,and market my 15 room beach motel. Open year round but very seasonal occupancy. Live in seperate, recently updated, 2 bedroom house with all utilities included, pets welcome.

Ideal applicants/couple should have some hospitality backround, be available to live on site, maintain the grounds (less than an acre), hire and manage supplemental/seasonal staff (1 or 2 housekeepers), maintain rooms/housekkeping and answer phones and check internet reservations.

Salary is comensurate with experience. Compensation package includes weekly salary, tips and bonuses. Recently renovated 2 bdrm house with laundry, 1 car garage, all utilities included as part of package.

We are located 1 mile from the beach and occupancy is very seasonal so the off season is slow giving us time for maintenance. We do remain open all year though.

Historic downtown Harrisburg, PA four-room boutique B&B with excellent trip advisor reputation is looking for full-time live-in Innkeeper/Manager. Property Maintenance Person should have general plumbing, painting, and general home repairs skills to maintain B&B and rental properties within a mile of the B&B.

Duties include breakfast preparation, managing cleaning staff, reservation management and guest check-in, home and property maintenance and scheduling and related duties.  Qualified applicant must have previous experience, poses strong task organizational and time management skills, excellent customer service skills including the ability to anticipate guests needs, and strong communication skills.  Self-motivated, detail oriented, initiative taking, organized, physically active individuals or couples will be considered.

Innkeeper couple needed for Northern California Inn

Looking for a permanent, full time, bondable, and long-term couple to manage an inn/motel near the northern California redwood forest. Applicant must have customer service and communication skills, enjoys interacting and caring for guests, have computer skills, hotel experience a plus, honest, self-motivated, energetic, organized, and able to perform handyman tasks.

The ability to sell and book rooms is very important from one team member and general maintenance skills from other.

Job responsibilities include the following but not limited to:

• Manage the day to day business operations
• Manage all guest reservations by phones, online, and walk in a professional and courteous manner.
• Handle all guest requests and/or concerns also in a professional and courteous manner
• Perform housekeeping duties including daily inspection of cleaned rooms.
• Perform general maintenance of property with a can do attitude
• Manage inventory of hotel supplies including cleaning supplies and linens.

The innkeeper position is like running your own small business, requiring a wide range of skills and talent. Most of all it requires a willingness to work and love guest Interactions – this is a very hands on position. Please note you will have to be willing to help the staff clean rooms to succeed with this property.

Compensation includes one bedroom apartment and all utilities paid. Ideal applicant would be a retired couple, non smoker with positive attitudes, clean, friendly, good work ethic with a clean background check, and handyman type. No young children, or pets allowed.

Office Person/Maintenance Person - Alamo, TX

Our RV Resort is looking for a couple to work this season (office and maintenance).

It is short notice, but emergencies do happen.  Office requires some knowledge of computers, must enjoy people.

Maintenance: mowing, weeding, watering etc. Some knowledge of plumbing and electricity would be helpful, but not necessary.

We are a gated community with lots of activities.  Starting date ASAP.  Couple works 24 hours for RV rent and electric.
