Job Type: Full-time
Caretaker and partners - Tournon-sur-Rhone
WHY DO WE SHOW EXPIRED LISTINGS?
Do you want to live in a beautiful place in the south of France and follow your passion?
We are not offering a job, rather an opportunity for value exchange and creative partnership.
We are looking for the right couple to live here full time, caretaking when we are away, helping us with maintenance and work on the place, but also making use of this wonderful facility to pursue your own dream, whatever that might be.
We are open to negotiation about how this would work, depending upon what you bring, what you want to do and what you don’t.
After many years living here full time, we want to spend more away. We need a couple to caretake the property whilst we are away but are looking for people who would also want to use the place to do their own thing – e.g. healing, treatments, therapy, coaching, teaching, groups, retreats, b&b, food, wine, art, writing, music, garden, nature, animals, walking, cycling, etc. Please look at our chambres d’hotes website to see what is possible here. There are rooms you can use for 1-to-1 and small group sessions as well as larger group spaces e.g. a yurt, open and indoor barns. There are 14 hectares of grounds with various possibilities.
We are offering your own two-bedroom apartment in exchange for basic caretaking. In addition, we will pay for help with maintenance, decoration or renovation work. Opportunity for additional hourly rate work if you want it, such as cleaning and laundry for gites in the summer (or we can outsource this). We are planning to sell the property but this may take some time.
Best if you like animals (we have a dog, cat and horses), also possible to bring your own. Plenty of storage if you are vacating a property. You are welcome to take breaks when we are here, as long as we coordinate.
We are looking for practical people that can help in some way with the building and garden maintenance: e.g. gardening and grounds keeping; DIY, practical maintenance and decoration skills; renovating and restoring old buildings. Also important is speaking French (at least one of you).
If this sounds interesting, please get in touch by email, tell us something about yourselves and your passion and ask any questions you may have. If we seem a good fit, we would invite you for a short stay for us all to explore more.
