Ranch Manager for Private Duck Club (with 2-4 owners/members)

We are a duck hunting club located in Northern California in the Butte Sink Basin (no flood zone, year round access), seeks an on-site Ranch Manager for a full time, year round position (part time can be discussed if desired).

This is an ideal position for someone that appreciates living in a beautiful rural setting with views of marsh land, the Butte Mountain Range and a variety of wildlife all while being close to city amenities. The qualified candidate has experience with bird hunting, especially with high end clientele and prides themselves on providing a unique, personalized experience to club members and guests. This is a long term opportunity (for a person or couple).

Job duties include:

• Guide hunts and other shooting sport activities
• Assist with tagging birds and bird cleaning and other game as needed
• Game management
• Plant and maintain habitat
• Repair and maintain all hunt equipment
• Coordinate maintenance of hunt/club vehicles
• Maintain and care for all club buildings and grounds (including but not limited to; mowing, weeding, pruning, watering/irrigation, fences, roads, light construction and painting)
• Maintain and clean clubhouse (including but not limited to; clean clubhouse interior at least weekly and after guests)
• Plan, shop, cook and serve when there are club guests and/or club events
• Keep clubhouse kitchen stocked as instructed by owners/members
• Provide onsite security of club property
• Manage a budget; record keeping and regular reporting to absentee owners via email
• Other general duties typical of upkeep of this type of property
• Assist on site as needed when owners or guests are visiting the property
• Available to work some weekends as needed
• Flexible with work schedule as this is not always an 8-5 job

Compensation:

Self Storage Team Needed - Valley , WA

We are a small privately owned company looking for a semi-retired working couple to manage a small storage unit facility.

The couple will be responsible for booking reservations, checking customers in and out, and general book keeping. Also responsible for light building and property maintenance so must be able to climb ladder to paint etc and actively weed, rake, spray, and walk behind mower or shovel doorways to take care of of property. We are looking for a friendly and outgoing team who are experienced in day to day operations and can make make sound business decisions, offers excellent customer service, has professional telephone skills, is well organized, and are good at collections.  We are not looking for caretakers.  We are looking for a team, one there when the other has to be at doctors appointments etc. 

Communication skills and computer literacy are a must for this position. Credit card processing, online reservations and backup knowledge is a priority for both members of the team.  

Compensation includes a small salary plus 2 bedroom managers quarters with utilites paid and internet.  Additioanl bonuses available for reviving U-Haul service & supplies partnership.

Caretakers Wanted for Organic Farm - Kilauea, HI

We are looking for a couple or individuals to  assist in caretaking our 3 acre organic farm on Kauai.  Our current openings are anticipated to start in April or May 2019, and extend through October, possibly longer.

We have an abundant oasis on the North Shore of the Garden Isle of Kauai.  We seasonally grow a wide array of vegetables and herbs as well as many tropical fruits such as avocado, mango, lychee, papaya, banana, pineapple and more.  We are close to a number of beautiful beaches, hiking trails and outdoor activities. 

Qualified candidates will be self motivated, with strong communication skills, a deep work ethic, and with experience in caretaking, property management, gardening, management and related areas.  As well as  being physically active and able to work outside a valid US drivers license is required and preferred ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.

Responsibilities include maintaining the gardens, orchard and ornamental plantings on our farm in coordination with farm/garden interns and with regular communication with owners. 

Other responsibilities to include:

• Mowing, weed whacking, trimming
• Repair and maintenance of machinery and structures
• Other “handyman” tasks as needed including light carpentry
• Merchandising and selling products at a local farmer’s market
• Capability to run and maintain farm machinery such as mowers, tillers, chainsaws, etc.
• Support  the needs of rental tenants 
• Caring for pets (cats) and farm animals including chickens and bees.

Accommodations include a rustic cabin with kitchen facility, use of a shared indoor bathroom and outdoor hot shower.  We have laundry facilities, beds, linens and high speed wireless internet service.  All utilities — water, electricity, propane, trash service are provided.  Access to fresh produce from the farm is included. 

The minimal work week is 25 hrs per person on a work trade basis, with the option for stipend or additional paid work above the base work trade hours.  Some activities require daily attention, such as watering/irrigation and animal feeding, though there is a good deal of flexibility regarding when certain tasks occur.
