Resort Couple Needed - Cook County, MN

Live where you love to be, on the edge of the BWCA wilderness in far northern Minnesota. We are hiring seasonal or full-time, year-round employees with many all-purpose skills to start in June. Are you that "do-it-all" resort employee? Can you answer questions at the front desk, take a reservation over the phone, put a pie in the oven to bake and then head off to help clean and prepare a cabin for arrival? Are you handy with tools, able to lift a canoe, and good at conversing with guests? Do you like variety and have some of the skills listed above? Would you make the most of your days off by canoeing, hiking, camping or exploring in the north woods? (Active outdoors people are so happy here.) Salary and start date negotiable. On site, non-smoking cabins and apartments with a lake view available for staff.

Front Desk/Guest Services/Housekeeping combo job: Could be filled by a student on a college schedule or by someone who wants to stay longer to explore canoe country. Fun job with a great deal of daily variety. Saturday and Sunday are generally spent working with a friendly group to clean cabins, but your other work days might include teaching a crafts or nature class, answering phones, reading emails, answer canoe route or hiking questions,or helping guests with a canoe trip. Attention to detail, excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a good work ethic are the required skills. Everybody does everything here, so flexibility and the ability to get along with others is essential.
- Maintenance/Outfitting/Outdoor Resort employee: Could be filled on a college schedule or by someone who wants to stay longer to explore canoe country. Fun job for an independent, self-starter who likes to be outside for most of the day, makes good decisions about time use, will get a lot done in a day, and can stay focused on tasks in spite of interruptions. Responsible for the campground, canoe and boat rentals, mowing and trimming, as well as simple regular resort maintenance. This person needs to be able to lift heavy items, use a few tools, and help with whatever else is needed, whether it be at the front desk or cleaning a cabin.
These positions can be filled by a couple if both people in the pair fill some of our employee needs. Not only does it help us with our housing situation, but we also find that couples are the happiest employees here because they come with a built-in friend who also likes to spend time outdoors. While the resort couple position often appeals to retired couples, our jobs are very physically active. At least one person in the couple needs to be able to lift canoes and motors and do some heavy outdoor work. The front desk person often runs up and down steps 20+ times a day, and housekeeping is like a few hours at the gym. These positions are best suited to people who love a daily work-out in their job.
We are a northern Minnesota, Gunflint Trail, year-round family resort on the edge of the BWCA, known for our 77K of ski trails in the winter and our beautiful canoeing & kayaking in other seasons. We are located 26 miles from Grand Marais, Minnesota, in the heart of the Superior National Forest. Our location does not have cell phone service or TV, and internet service is minimal. This is a location that is ideal for people who love to be in the Northwoods, rather than in a city.
Diverse Couple to Fill Assistant Management, Cook, and/or Housekeeping Positions for Upcoming Summer Season - Sunshine Coast , BC

For the 2019 season (early May through end September) we are currently have the following paid position openings, and are looking for an energetic, creative couple who can fill 2 of these positions :
* Assistant Front Desk Manager > this position has no boundaries and is for someone who is committed, loyal, willing to work long hours and many days, is friendly, while able to be strong and take responsibility and find creative solutions, and has a passion for the hospitality industry. Tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to : handling reservations, bookings, front desk, reception, checking guests in and out, answering phone calls and emails, running boat rentals, handling possible customer complaints, assisting with coordinating special events, weddings, work-away work schedules, housekeeping schedules, overseeing housekeeping duties, and managing linen inventory, as well as some web site updates, spreadsheets, managing online booking platforms, social media activities... this is a job without boundaries, and requires a 6-day week (including one 12-13 hour day), a great attitude, creativity, problem-solving, genuine customer service, punctuality, and *??*?? commitment / loyalty *??*??. Must be willing to jump in / cover gaps / support staff (ie. housekeeping calls in sick, FOH gets slammed in the restaurant) Basic computer skills, including word, excel, social media platforms, etc a MUST, as well as previous front desk /general customer service experience. Pay = salary (based on experience and performance); commitment early May through end of September
* Housekeeping / Chambermaid > this position is for a detail-orientated, energetic, self-motivated cleaner who can take responsibility cleaning cottages, cabins and tents between and during customer stays, manage linen inventory, do laundry, maintain an organized work space, have clear communication with fellow staff and customers; preferably someone who is willing to work 5-6 days per week, apx 9am - 3 pm daily (varies according to needs); pay = more than minimum (based on experience and performance); commitment from early May through end September
* Carpenter / Builder > we are looking for a creative, self-motivated, carpenter who is eager to further develop and put their skills to work; ideally someone who likes rustic styles, raw materials, can solve problems and find solutions; pay = more than minimum (based on experience and performance); commitment flexible, but especially needed in [early] spring (March, April, May, June)
* Line Cook / Prep Cook / Lunch Cook / Kitchen Helper > lots of opportunities here! we need folks who have some experience, but are willing to learn new skills and styles, can take orders, and can also take the lead where needed; either working as a prep cook / line cook / assistant cook during evening shifts, or for a very strong candidate who is able to replicate our chef's plates plus has creativity and initiative to add in their own special items, a daily lunch cook; good humor, humility, and a strong work ethic are key - someone committed to working many days and hours through the peak of our busy season and adaptable to less work days / hours during the shoulder months / weeks is appreciated; pay = more than minimum (based on experience and performance); commitment May/June through mid September

I own an Exceptionally Clean and 'Well Built' Business Center called McCord Business Center, at 5566 Ayers St., in Corpus Christi, Texas, where we lease out rooms to individuals and businesses for 'shop spaces' to small businesses, like plumbing shops, electrical, welding, etc. to run their small businesses out of.
You will need your Own RV to live in, and I have a 2 large EXTREMELY SAFE RV sites for my Workers, and I pay for your electricity, water, sewer, and Wifi.
I will have One large RV Site available around 15 March 2019
I can't offer any TV, but we use a 'Tailgator' with our RV, and it does a Great job.
I ask that you are a 'Couple' so there are more than just one set of eyes to be able to watch and keep our place Safer for All of us, INCLUDING YOU.
I need a fairly young or very active couple, because I don’t want either of you hurting yourselves doing the mowing and weed-eating and other maintenance
jobs that need to be done from time to time and Not Full Time.
The Maintenance jobs include mowing, weed-eating, climbing ladders to take down, priming, painting, facia boards, then putting back up, patching holes in driveways, painting buildings, doors, etc, but not limited to this......
I don't allow any of my Lessees to bring Pit Bulls or any other kind of vicious dogs onto my property, so I Cannot allow a Worker to have any vicious breed of dog on my property, either. Your Pets Must stay in your RV at nights, and Not Bark or be a nuisance and/or cause problems, if outside in the daytime. Of course, you Must 'Pick Up' after them, as Decent people do, and your pet must Never be a bother to Anyone…..
I cannot have Children at my Business Center, as there is some traffic in there at times, and it might be dangerous for them.
I Have to Have someone who is a Pretty Good Mechanic, to be able to fix the 'riding' mower, weed-eater and/or other items we use, if they don't run, or isn't running right to get the job done, rather than take it to a danged 'shop' to get it fixed.
You cannot have too many guest over, Play Loud Music, or do anything else that is annoying and upsets my Lessees. My Lessee's are not allowed to do it, So…..
I would want you to have a newer or at least Very Clean, and 'Well Kept Up' RV to park on my property, and I want you to please be considerate and conservative of my electricity and water. I Cannot and Will Not Tolerate Wastefulness…….
All my Lessees sign an 'Extremely Strict' Lease Agreement that says my place is for doing Business, and Business Only. We Do Not Allow Any Alcoholic Beverages or Drugs brought on or consumed on our property, and NO PARTYING, EVER. And, they Understand this. This is how we Constantly have Excellent, Clean, people leasing from us, that cause NO Trouble. You will receive one of my Lease Agreements, and I will expect you to make sure my Lessees Go By It.
This Does Not mean you can't drink or Bar-b-que, You Live here, they just Lease from me here.
But, NO DOPE, and I can't have you always having guest coming in and out.
We run a Tight Ship with our Lessees, and we put up with Absolutely NO B.S., or they are Evicted. Because of this, we have ONLY the Best Lessees in Corpus Christi, and NEVER have any problems, because of the fact that we are so Strict as to what they can and cannot do on our property. And, our Lessees Appreciate this, as some have leased from us over 45 years, knowing their 'stuff' will be safe, when they return to it.
We have gates that are locked after dark and opening the AM's.
You will Not have to do 'Office Time' to check people in or out, or 'take reservations'.
My place is a Safe as it gets for people to live, and just couldn't be Any easier to get to and/or from. We are merely Seconds from the Cross-Town Expressway, and 4 turns and 3 miles you are in downtown Corpus Christi, or 4 turns and 15 - 18 miles later, you are at the Padre Island National Seashore.
I can't offer any 'Pay', but I only expect 20 hours of work per week, and although my place is completely fenced, I want Everyone in there to be Most Aware of people on my property that isn't supposed to be there 24/7, as this Keeps my property, all of my Lessees, And YOU, Safe. As I said, we Don’t and Have Never had any problems, because of this, whereas other business centers call the 'Cops' weekly, if not daily. I say 'I don't offer any Pay', but it is Highly Possible that you can obtain employment, if you need it, from one or more of my many Lessees in McBC, as others have done. Many Companies in Corpus Christi are Looking for People that Want To Work.
After the mowing, weed-eating, spraying & killing the weeds after heavy rains, building maintenance, picking up the little bit of trash that accumulates in the driveways, and cleaning the 4 or 5 restrooms are done, once a week, and maybe at times some roof or leak sealing, it could be weeks before you would be asked to do anything else, 'Other Than Always Watching, And Being On Guard', until the grass needs to be cut/weed-eated, again.
I seriously doubt you will even work 15 hours a week, if that much, (but, sometimes more will need to be done) So, you will have Plenty of time to do whatever you want to do, But, Always Please schedule when you want 'Off the Property', with the other Workers, so One of you will Always be there, to 'Watch Things'.
Now, I have just hired the most Prestigious Engineering Firm in Corpus to Ask (Plead) with the City of Corpus Christi to let me put in a small (50-60 sites) RV Park, and IF this happens and gets running good, I may be able to pay a small salary.
I do not deduct FICA or 'carry' insurance on my Workers as everyone is 'Independent Contractors'.
We normally have two Workers, and I have one spot available Starting around the Fifteenth day of March 2019.

Lodge & Campground: Camp Host(s) Needed - Groundskeeper/on-Call Maintenance & Security - Columbia Falls, MT

We are looking for worker(s) to trade 25 hours per week, starting sometime in May thru end of September, for a FHU space; water, septic, electric, WIFI and Cable TV service provided. Work would be groundskeeping; on-call maintenance and security after 5 pm and on weekends. Two (week)days off per week, usually Monday-Tuesday or Tuesday-Wednesday. If a couple we can offer $12/hr office, laundry or housekeeping position up to full time, with same days off as partner. We have campground bathrooms with showers and on-site coin-op laundry. We are also pet friendly!
We are located 15 miles from Glacier National Park's west entrance, also within 25 minutes you can get to Flathead Lake, Hungry Horse Reservoir and Recreation area, Whitefish Lake, Whitefish downtown arts and restaurants and Kalispell City Center. Our 7-acre property consists of lodge motel rooms, family suites, vacation rentals, dry cabins & bell tents as well as 14 FHU spaces and an open tent camping field. During peak season, end of June thru end of August, we average 250 guests on-site, approx. 100 of those are in the campground.
This is like a mom-n-pop kind of place where our employees are like family, our 4 year-round employees expand up to 15 with seasonal positions May through September. We are just 1 mile outside of Columbia Falls (population 6k) where you will find most needs provided for besides large department stores which are only 15 miles away in Kalispell. We are located in a semi-residential area, right off the main highway with fast food and gas station within walking distance and across the highway from Big Sky Water Park, Montana's biggest outdoor water park!
