Environmental Education/Outreach Specialist Team - Jamestown, KY

Join the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service volunteer team at the Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery Visitor/Environmental Education Center! We are currently seeking 2-person teams to help staff our Center and assist in our outreach activities for June 2021-December 2021.
In exchange for an average of 20-27 hours/person/week, work camper volunteers receive a full hook up (FHU) deluxe campsite-- level gravel lot, picnic table, fire ring; 50-30 amp service, water and sewer hook ups. Onsite laundry and limited WiFi (no streaming). Complimentary propane offered during winter months.
Duties include: meeting/greeting the public; answering questions; fielding phone calls; performing majority of cleaning (including Center restrooms) & minor maintenance; leading tours and helping with field trips; caring for live animals; operating Center gift shop; issuing hunting/fishing licenses; stocking/tracking/brochures; helping plan/prepare special events, workshops and outreach programs.

RV Work/Camper Host Couple - Iron River, MI
WHY DO WE SHOW EXPIRED LISTINGS?
We are looking for an RV Work/Camper Host Couple for the 2021 season for our beautiful Sunset Lake Park. This is approximately a part-time, multi-task position. We are open Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend. We have 17 primitive sites available for campers and one full hook-up site for our Host Couple (Couple with an RV is a requirement), a pavilion with a modern kitchen and 2 modern flush bathrooms that each have 1 shower/1 toilet. A washing machine is available for our Host’s convenience.
Compensation for responsibly fulfilling the following duties for the season includes the free RV full hook-up site and $450 per month (pro-rated for ½ months).
Required Duties to be preformed as needed 8:00 a.m. through 10:00 p.m., 7 days a week. You will not be required to be “on duty” entire time as personal time can be taken during the day as tasks are completed.
· Open & Close W. Park Drive gates AM & PM
· Maintain calendar & other records as needed to accept campsite & pavilion
reservations.
· Collect campground fees from Campers. Provide a copy of campsite
regulations/ordinance to Campers and Pavilion Renters.
· Collect deposits & fees from Pavilion Renters.
· Document collection of all monies as required by Bates Township Treasurer.
Turn in monies & corresponding receipts on a weekly basis to Bates
Township Treasurer. In the absence of Treasurer, turn in monies and receipts
to the Bates Township Clerk.
· Make sure the Pavilion is unlocked and ready for Renters. Inspect, clean and lock Pavilion after the Renters are gone.
· Clean bathrooms & showers daily and keep the bathrooms supplied with
toiletries. When the days get busy this may need to be done twice a day.
· Monitor beach & park areas. Keep them clean of litter and animal waste. Redirect pet owners off beach to designated pet area.
· Empty garbage cans as needed.
· Handle sale of firewood (if available).
· Maintain a good rapport with campers, boaters & other park visitors.
· Monitor the boat wash to assure that boaters are using it.
· All above referenced duties are requirements of the position but not limited to.
FEATURED JOB OPENING: Mobile Home and Campground Manager Needed - San Gabriel Mountains, CA

We are recruiting for a full-time on-site manager position available immediately for our all-age mobile home park and campground in the San Gabriel Mountains in California that includes 72 manufactured home and camping sites. We are looking for someone with a friendly personality who enjoys the outdoors, with a customer-oriented focus and ability to multitask. Work is year-round with our busiest season being Summer and weekends. Previous property management experience is required with a preference for past work in mobile home and RV communities.
A summary of duties is as follows:
- General park administration: Mobile home rent collection, space rentals, qualifying residents, handling rental contracts, making financial reports to senior management. Issue notices and enforce rule violations and rent delinquencies.
- Campground management: Responsible for taking reservations over the phone and via email and third-party websites. Responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly environment. Perform janitorial and landscaping services as required.
- Maintenance: Manager has full accountability for the overall maintenance and custodial functions of the property. Have an active working knowledge of the following systems: electrical, plumbing, propane, gas, septic. Should be familiar with pool maintenance and general repair of other systems. Experience in well-water testing is preferred, or be capable of completing certification/licensing. Tractor/backhoe handling is a plus.
- Perform daily inspections of community grounds to ensure compliance with company standards. Patrol property and report on safety and security concerns to senior management. Coordinate with government agencies as required.
- Participates in the screening and hiring of maintenance staff, trains, supervises and evaluates performance.
Applicants should be mechanically inclined and physically capable of performing onsite maintenance. Must be dependable, organized, detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Basic Spanish language skills a plus. Valid driver’s license required.
Compensation: On-site housing 2 bedroom, 2 bath manufactured home. Cell phone and landline, two company trucks. Salary commensurate with experience.
