Seeking a responsible highly motivated couple/individual to serve as General Manager(s) for all aspects of restored historic Motor Courts in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. The Medina River Oaks Courts has earned National historic status and is located in the town of Medina, Texas which is an hour from San Antonio, 40 minutes from Kerrville and 20 minutes from Bandera. The Courts consist of 11 rental units for overnight accommodations, mostly native stone cottages, each uniquely restored, as well as an art/teahouse, social club/restaurant, native plant garden and riverfront access.
Looking for candidates who have hospitality/hotel/restaurant/management experience, interest in local culture, history and small town living and who are excited to be a part of continuing to build a dynamic, vibrant Hill Country destination. Candidates' experience with special event planning a plus.
Housing is provided. Ideal Couple will have complementary skill sets.

The Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches are seeking married couples to live and work with youth in one of our family-style residential homes. This is a full-time, permanent position that will be living on campus for 14 days. Then going off duty and off campus for 7 days. The combined annual salary is $66,560.
SUMMARY
While living on campus, and under the supervision of an assigned Unit Director, the Cottage Parents provide youth with a strong parental role model while implementing a professional family-style program that emphasizes skill acquisition and personal development, and a safe and secure environment in which to grow and learn. The Cottage Parents teach and develop social skills, self-help skills, academic skills, and independent living skills; and foster moral and spiritual development through a broad array of activities to youth in residence that typically have a background of low self-esteem, academic failure, and problem behavior. The Cottage Parents administer the day-to-day operations of a large family residence including various paperwork, domestic responsibilities, and other assigned duties. The Cottage Parents work closely with other child care professionals as a team in carrying out responsibilities while in the work place. The Cottage Parents are directly responsible to the Unit Director. This position is not eligible for overtime pay.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Requires high school graduate or equivalent (some college credits preferred.) Must be at least 21 years of age, be a married couple, have a valid Florida driver’s license or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment, a good driving record, a concern for youth, the ability and desire to work and live with youth, and a strong desire to work in the human services field.
WORKING CONDITIONS
While on duty, the nature of this position requires that the employees be available 24 hours a day. The work schedule is generally 14 days on then 7 days off. Occasionally may be required to work in outdoor weather conditions.

October – December: 5-10 hours/week
- Continued leaf blowing and removal.
- Seasonal placement & removal of empty 50-gallon insulating plastic drums over water risers (approx. 40 lbs.)
January – March: <5 hours/week
- Occasionally remove snow in front of office building and in front of dumpsters to provide safe access during inclement weather.
- Occasionally apply heat tape to RV space water risers to prevent freezing during extreme cold weather.
Misc:
- Occasionally clean out and dispose of items left behind in storage units.
- Occasional very minor plumbing repair
- Small repair projects from time to time
Experience preferred. Training support available for the right candidate. We supply all necessary tools and supplies.
Groundskeeper needs a vehicle with hitch to haul small utility trailer to the yard debris station two miles away to dump leaves and yard trimmings. We supply the utility trailer and gasoline. Conversational English needed for training and communication with owner. Background check at employer’s expense.
