We are a historic Bay Area retreat center with a beautiful outdoor-oriented campus just ten minutes from the Northern California coast. Located in a small community, with hiking, biking, and beaches, plus opportunities to engage with wellness, agriculture, and the arts all nearby! Currently, we are seeking a couple of hard-working part-timers to join our property and guest services team.
If you are a physically fit, detail-oriented individual with experience in cleaning, janitorial, and/or property maintenance (or are willing to train and learn) we would love to hear from you right away! Our peak season is May 1 through October 31, so we are hiring immediately. We also have opportunities for you and your partner as a part-time Site Host. Excellent communication, interest in guest services, and basic admin skills required. This role will support on-site events, property rentals, reservations, and more.
Hourly Compensation is extremely competitive. We include an overnight slip for a self-sufficient rig with access to electricity and non-potable water, plus some other property perks! Salary Package and Benefits:
At Hawthorn Senior Living we have a very attractive salary package for our Assistant Manager teams. The salary package is broken down into the following categories:
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary starting at $60,000 to $70,000 per year to start (depending on the cost of living in the area where are placed) for our Assistant Management Team. However, each person will be paid their own individually portion of the aforementioned salary.
Accommodation:
As this is a live-in position, the accommodation provided is a one bedroom, one-bathroom apartment with washer and dryer in the unit. In addition to the apartment benefit, the Assistant Managers are also provided with all utilities paid including basic cable, unlimited parking, and as well as all meals included. In addition, we offer relocation assistance and encourage all applicants who are open to relocation, to apply.
Healthcare and Other Perks:
We offer a competitive salary and a benefit package that includes paid time off and the opportunity to elect healthcare, dental, vision, prescription plan and disability benefits; as well as life insurance, a 401k plan with company match (or RRSP in Canada) and an employee assistance program.
Schedule:
Our Assistant managers work five days per week with two consecutive days off and a rotating on-call shift. We also offer paid time off including holiday, vacation and sick time.

Complete, hands-on training is provided for Assistant Management Teams, however, previous experience in a similar role is an asset. People management experience is preferred. This position is designed as a training and development role and the hope is that our Assistant Management Teams will aspire to become Managers of their own Gracious Community within a short training period.

As an Area Sales Route Driver /Team at Scrubs on Wheels, you will be the face of the company, traveling across the sales area, conducting sales in our mobile uniform store at facilities such as nursing homes and hospitals. Providing excellent customer service and keeping a professional and clean mobile store will be paramount to your success. Sales take place on site at the facility inside of our mobile retail store.
We provide each Area Sales Route Driver/Team with a 38-foot gooseneck trailer that is pulled with a company-provided one ton Dually. Each mobile store is equipped with heat & air that utilizes a generator.
A typical work week consists of 8 to 10 sales events within the sales area. Typically, sales events are conducted twice a day Monday – Friday. Sales times can vary depending upon size of facility and are usually 2-4 hours each.
REQUIREMENTS
- Requires traveling for up to five days at a time, staying in comfortable hotels. Company pays for fuel and hotel as well as a daily meal stipend.
- Clean driving history and ability to obtain DOT physical card and Class A CDL.
- Overnight travel 3-4 days a week.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Travel across the sales area, conducting sales in our mobile uniform store.
- Receive inventory, stock, clean and maintain clean professional mobile store.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to achieve sales goals.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand market share within the region.
- This position requires traveling for 3-4 days a week overnight. The company pays for fuel and hotels costs as well as offering a daily meal stipend.
- Drivers are required to maintain hours of service logs as required by FMCSA.
- Plan and optimize driving routes for efficient sales visits.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in a regional or territory management role.
- Experience in account management and maintaining an elevated level of customer satisfaction.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and maintain relationships.
- Excellent sense of direction and the ability to take and follow directions.
- Class A CDL – We are willing to provide training to the right candidate.
- A clean, verifiable driving record for commercial purposes.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while working without direct supervision.
- Competent in basic technical skills such as computer skills, internet, email etc.
- Possess the physical ability to lift 25-50 lbs.
