Care Taking Couple (or Individual) Needed for Private Island - San Juan's , WA

This is an amazing opportunity to live in a beautiful setting. It is a 300 acre island estate with over 6 miles of roads/trails and a grass airstrip. The island is located just off of Anacortes, it is remote off grid living with boat only access. MUST HAVE OWN BOAT – Travel reimbursement will be provided

Maintenance duties include: • Mowing airstrip and clearing of all roads/trails • Trimming foliage on all roads/trails, around structures and along airstrip • Landscaping around cabin and tents • Chain sawing and tree removal • Manage contractors when the island has ongoing construction projects • Light construction (additional contractors / help can be hired based on projects) • Maintain island's security • Maintenance and repairs of 4 to 5 vehicles and other machinery • Maintenance and light repairs on two-story log cabin including 12 volt electrical system with solar panels and generator • Pumping and maintenance of well water system When owners are visiting (generally 6-8 trips during summer months) duties include: • Set up and tear down of canvas tents and furniture • Assist owners, chefs and other helpers during visits • Cleaning, laundry and trash/recycle hauling after visits • Winterization of machinery, water system, vehicles, RV, cabin and storage areas at end of season Other Future Projects: • The owners expect to add small additions/projects on an incremental basis each year to slowly develop the island. Projects may include the addition of Solar, planting, addition or limited wild-life. • The Owners may rent the island for 10 – 20 days per summer. During such period the Caretakers would provide support. Seeking an experienced Domestic Couple for a private residence located in the Bridal Path area of Toronto. Previous experience in a semi-formal residence is required. Applicants should be flexible with schedules for occasional weekends and special events. This full-time position will be responsible for the day to day running of the residence including housekeeping and cooking. Travel to the Florida residence for several months during the winter is required.

This live-in position will be responsible for the day to day running of the residence and property, hands on participation for interior and exterior care to maintain high standards and efficiency. Applicants must have previous experience in private service for all elements of residential amenities, managing trades and vendors, general handyman skills, household inventories and home tech services. Light national travel required.

Primary Responsibilities:

·     Daily housekeeping to maintain household standards including care of fine finishes, china, silver, cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, laundry and ironing

·     Organize and manage household inventories, closets and storage areas

·     Wardrobe management on a seasonal basis or as special needs arise

·     Packing and unpacking for travel

·     Scheduling and managing trades and vendors 

·     Front door management including greeting guests and receiving packages
