We offer a FHU site, free ice, 11:00 per hour for all hours worked. 4 on 3 off together. 32 hours minimum. Holidays and weekends are a must.

Ranch Maintenance Couple - Gold Beach , OR

We are a gated, horse boarding business and private residence. We are looking for a live-in caretaker couple, but will also consider an individual.

Conditions:

1. No substance use is permitted on the property. Absolutely no smokers (on or off site).  

2. Outdoor cats will be considered.

3. No dogs, indoor or outdoor. 

The Position: 

1. No horse care will be required. There are two barn hands already employed. Horse experience is preferred, however, as you may be called upon to help in the event of a, rare, unforeseen emergency. 

2. Mowing and weedeating all areas around the barn, pastures, and driveway. 1-2 times/week

3. Feed/water barn cats. 

4. Check fences, make any necessary repairs. Maybe once a month.

5. Feed/water 8-10 cows each day.

6. Drag riding arenas using ATV. 1-2 times/week

7. Assist with unloading and stacking hay during once a year delivery.

8. Property security.  

9. Watering and weeding all flower beds at the barn. 3-5 times/week during summer, none in the winter.  

10. Knowledge of roses preferred as there is a rose garden that will need to be looked after. Prune and water once a week. 

11. Herbicide application on gravel around the barn (generally once a year). 

12. Chainsaw use required. Trees and limbs fall, especially during winter storms. Debris needs to be cut up and removed. 

13. Cleaning all barn and apartment gutters. Once a month during summer, twice a week throughout the winter and spring.

The rate of pay is $3200-$3500 per month per couple DOE with a fully furnished 2 bedroom apartment on property including cable, Wifi, electric and garbage. 

Work week is 5 days per week with the same days off.
