Seeking a Professional Caretaker Couple for Unique Event Venue near Lake Tahoe
We are pleased to announce that Swift Real Estate Partners is seeking a married couple to perform caretaker and event management duties at the Rainbow Lodge. This beautiful historic Lodge has undergone major renovations and is now an exclusive event venue for weddings, corporate retreats, private events, and family reunions. The newly remodeled chalet will be home to the caretakers while employed at the Lodge. The ideal couple will exude the highest levels of customer service, while maintaining the Lodge and overseeing renovation projects.
Our mission: To create a memorable event experience for our guests while renovations are underway to enhance the Lodge’s event capabilities and preserve his historic jewel.
Here is what is in store for you in this dynamic position:
- Are you a couple with at least 8 years prior experience working as a Caretaker or Property Manager at an upscale hotel or hospitality venue?
- Do you have excellent guest service experience in planning weddings and using your stellar attention to detail to ensure an unforgettable event?
- Do you have well-rounded skills as a handy man with general maintenance experience that includes plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and the ability to operate heavy equipment?
- Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment with the ability to shift gears from one project to another, doing so with ease?
- Do you have amazing customer service skills handling customers with a high level of professionalism and a positive attitude?
If you answered “YES” to the above and would like to dive into an exciting position, and then read on - we are looking for you! In this position, you will handle the following:
Maintenance & Upkeep of the Lodge
- The upkeep and maintenance of the Lodge and surrounding property, including maintaining equipment and company truck in good repair and operating condition.
- Manage inventory of supplies such as toiletries, merchandise, and alcohol to ensure supplies are stocked and ready for events.
- Oversee landscaping including tree trimming, lawn, and pond care.
- Maintenance and handyman skills are required including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry experience. Experience with snow removal and heavy equipment desired.
- Perform duties in accordance with company and OSHA policies.
- Provide on-site general security.
- Assist in moving materials and supplies.
- Operating snowplow during the winter for snow removal.
Event Management
- Oversee and manage events, including conducting tours of the Lodge, responding to event inquiries in a timely manner and conducting tours of the Lodge.
- Manage vendors including caterers, bartenders, and maintenance-related vendors.
- During off-season, host events from time to time in the Lodge restaurant and bar.
- Oversee housekeeping to ensure guest rooms are clean and ready for guests to enjoy a heightened experience of comfort and delight.

Check for any plumbing issues (slow drains)

POSITION SUMMARY:
A rural Missouri private club is seeking an experienced individual or couple to manage the operations of the club. The operations of the club include a full-service kitchen and dining room seating up to one hundred, housekeeping services for nineteen cottages, approximately seventeen hundred acres of grounds, including several miles of trails as well as docks along the Gasconade River outside of Rolla, Missouri.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The General Manager reports to the Board of Directors of the club. The family orientated club consists of individually owned cottages, a central dining lodge, pool, tennis courts, shooting range (skeet and sporting clays), boat docks, common ground and seventeen hundred acres of woods. The candidates will oversee a mixture of full time and seasonal staff. The staff will provide support in the kitchen, housekeeping and ground maintenance operations of the club. The successful candidates will oversee contribute to all operations of the club including the following: Front Office, Dining, Housekeeping, Kitchen Manager, Grounds Maintenance, Security and Member Services. There are nineteen members in the club.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
The GM candidates will have the following skills:

COMPENSATION:
An attractive salary, housing (including utilities and cable T.V.), meals, and auto are all included. The successful candidate will have their own house to live in on the grounds: furniture is not included. Access to hunting, fishing and other club amenities is also available.
