Property Managing Couple - Nayarit, Mexico

Beachfront villa estate in San Francisco (San Pancho) Nayarit, Mexico is looking for a responsible live-in couple to manage the location as a viable rental business.
Responsible for the following:
- This position requires you be at the location full time, day and night for the operation of the entire property; client needs, staff coordination and
management.
- Make arrangements with rental agencies and representatives for bookings, calendar scheduling, and reservations.
- Accommodate the travel arrival and pick-up and welcoming of clients at the Puerto Vallarta Airport 'Meet and Greet', using the company van. Handle the check-in and check-out with return to the airport.
- Basic book keeping and finances with purchasing responsibilities, interfacing with accountants and administration.
Requires the following:
- Fluently bilingual in both Spanish and English. Have Internet/office capabilities.
- Experienced in the hospitality field preferred, but must like and be compatible with all types of people, in person, phone and Internet.
- Full time requirement seasonally from October through April of each year and arrangements offered for the remaiming months. This is a possible permanent position.

- Free housing with a detached two bedroom one bath upstairs apartment. Use of facility laundry, linens, towels, and purified water, wireless Internet and Dish.
- $2,000.00 Peso per week salary.

Farm Manager – Gambier Island, BC
Reporting to the Gambier Island Sea Ranch (GISR) Council the Farm Manager (team) is central to the smooth functioning of the Sea Ranch, a unique non-industrial, seasonal strata community comprised of 66 cottages on 330 acres of farm and protected land located at the head of Long Bay 35 minutes by boat from Vancouver and Gibsons [GPS location 49.28.935N and 123.20.999W]. The Farm Manager (team) carries out the day-to-day operations including care of livestock, pastures, garden and outbuildings; maintenance of heavy equipment, roads, wharves, community buildings and trails, water & sewer systems and inventory; transportation of goods, and supports purchasing, record keeping, procedure documentation and other related administrative functions encompassed in the running of a farm community. The Manager is responsible for hiring and supervising the relief and summer staff within the established budget as well as coordination of community work parties. The role also collaborates with Council in adherence with Acts and bylaws and acts as the community liaison in achieving the GISR Vision and objectives which strive for an environmentally, economically and socially sustainable farm that enables us to make a small profit.
The perfect team will possess superior communication and coordination skills, willingness to learn, teach and engage the community, have strong farm and public works related mechanical skills and extensive farming experience including poultry, general caretaking knowledge including plumbing, rough carpentry, water and electrical system maintenance, sustainable gardening and the ability to work alone mostly outdoors. Must have the physical ability to perform the duties of the job, be bondable, technically competent (Email, MS Office, on-line learning and research) and current firearms license.

Engineering/Maintenance Management & Guest Services Couple - British Virgin Islands

Ballast & Capel are excited to be working with the management team of an exclusive residential property on a remote out-island within the British Virgin Islands. On their behalf we are seeking to recruit a live-in Engineering/Maintenance Management & Guest Services couple.
The primary responsibilities of this working couple will be to oversee the day to day management and operations of the property and to be responsible for a luxury rental programme. This role is ideal for a mature, experienced and energetic couple with at least 10 years’ experience in the operation of a similar facility or in the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
· Maintaining a thirty-acre (30) property Including the physical building structures;
· All mechanical, electrical, refrigeration systems and related equipment in accordance with energy conservation, water management and preventative maintenance programs;
· Directing, overseeing and maintaining the physical functionality and safety of facilities including guesthouses, public spaces, walkways and staff work areas;
· Responding to calls and staff ember work orders to assess and repair non-functioning machinery and/or equipment;
· Performing a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including carpentry, plumbing, electric, painting, HVAC and masonry, and
· Inspecting guesthouses, public space and staff areas for needed and preventive maintenance while overseeing the execution of long term preventative maintenance and ten (10) year asset protection plans;
· Attending to owners and guests, providing excellent guest services
· Management and leadership of property staff
· Providing executive class housekeeping services
· Providing Silver Service for owners and guests
· Provisioning and procuring property and villa supplies
· Detailing and high level maintenance of fine, exotic and high quality linens and furnishings.
Successful applicants will demonstrate excellent guest services skills as well as previous experience in managing luxury properties. Knowledge of food and beverage management as well as experience in QuickBooks is also required. Couples will also ideally be confident in water sports and boat handling.
