Campground Host and Groundsperson (Churubusco, IN) North of Fort Wayne, IN
WHY DO WE SHOW EXPIRED LISTINGS?
Blue Lake Campground in Churubusco, Indiana (20 minutes North of Fort Wayne, IN) is looking to hire an experienced work camper couple for an on-site, full-time camp store manager and a part-time groundsperson for our seasonal campground. Our season is from approximately April 15 to October 15, 2013. See our campground at our website.
Camp store duties include but are not limited to: maintaining regular store hours; operating a cash register; having proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Campground Master; taking reservations and answering questions by phone, email, and walk-ins; handling seasonal accounts and contracts; hosting some activities; showing the campground to potential seasonals and overnight campers; working in the snack shack including dipping ice cream, and other snack sales; general cleaning; maintain an inventory and an orderly store; cleaning and making the rental units (cabins and park models) rent ready; and maintaining daily communication with management. After hours answering of the phone and gate are required. Handling after hour’s needs, like opening store for early or late arrivals.
Grounds duties include but are not limited to: maintaining rentals such as golf carts, boats, and cabins and park models; beach maintenance including raking the beach, assisting with the install and removal of the pier, maintaining the pier and gazebo, volleyball court, and the beach loungers. Collecting trash, recyclables, and keeping the grounds neat and orderly. Some trimming and mowing throughout the park and focus on a clean, neat entrance. Other general property upkeep and maintenance. Preparing rentals and sites for rent: mowing, trimming, raking gravel on sites, provide a fire ring and table and make sure the site is ‘clean’ is a daily task and some firewood delivery. Supervision of the park including checking registrations, making sure guests are registered, and attending to the gate after hours.
The couple must have a well-kept appearance and the ability to stand for a 6-8 hour work shift.Must be able to work Friday thru Sunday and Holidays.
Compensation: A full hook up seasonal site is included along with electric, water, sewer, WiFi and trash. Due to the campground being slower in the beginning and end of the season and busier from mid-May thru August, the pay will range between $1400 to $2000 per month for the couple depending on experience and ability. The pay is per set agreed functions, not time nor separate jobs.
Campground Hosts - (Portland, IN) South of Fort Wayne, IN

Campground in Portland, Indiana (South of Fort Wayne, IN) is looking to hire an experienced work camper (or couple) for an on-site, full-time campground host for our seasonal campground. Our season is from approximately April 15 to October 15, 2013. This 109 site, 75 acre park is great for peace and relaxation. See our park at our website.
Regular Duties include but are not limited to: maintaining regular store hours; operating a cash register; having proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Campground Master; taking reservations and answering questions by phone, email, and walk-ins; handling seasonal accounts and contracts; hosting some activities; showing the campground to potential seasonals and overnight campers; general cleaning; maintain an inventory and an orderly store; cleaning and making the rental unit (bunk house cabin) rent ready; and maintaining daily communication with management. After hours answering of the phone and gate are required. Handling after hour’s needs, like opening store for early or late arrivals is required. Beach maintenance including raking the beach, assisting with projects, maintaining bathhouse cleanliness. Collecting trash, recyclables, and keeping the grounds neat and orderly. Supervision of the park including checking registrations, making sure guests are registered, and attending to the gate after hours.
Other duties include: assist with marketing and promotions, brochure distribution, growing the seasonal camper base, and general campground improvements.
Must have a well-kept appearance and the ability to stand for a 6-8 hour work shift. Must be a self-starter, and be able to work with little supervision and meet expectations. This is not a highly trafficked campground and has a base of about 25 seasonal campers with an average of less than 10 weekender campers per weekend. We want someone that can help us grow the business and promote the great features of this hidden secret.

Summary
A House Parent is responsible for meeting the physical, emotional, social, academic and spiritual needs of youth residents within a family environment in a respectable and efficient manner in support of the Home’s Mission Statement and for professionally representing the Home.
Essential Job Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Awakens youth each morning and ensures they are dressed, fed and ready for school or other activities including church and recreational activities.
- Gives instruction to youth regarding desirable health and personal habits and represents a desirable role model to youth.
- Supervises and inspects youth’s daily chores and kitchen jobs in order to maintain building maintenance standards.
- Assists and encourages youth with educational problems in order to achieve academic goals.
- Disciplines youth and recommends other measures to control behavior such as motivational system which involves teaching interactions, both positive and negative, and recording points earned on youth cards at end of each day/week.
- Prepares various reports such as weekly progress reports, school reports, treatment plans, cottage operating budget, incident reports, etc.
- Accompanies youth to meals in dining room or prepares food in cottage, when necessary.
- Attends staff meetings, training sessions, parent/teacher conferences and school open houses.
- Plans and leads recreational activities such as cottage outings.
- Performs various tasks such as telephone duty, handling incoming mail, counseling, recording petty cash, etc.
- Performs any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as needed basis.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Minimum level of high school diploma or GED. College education desirable.
- Must be married and at least 21 years of age.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with good driving record and automobile liability insurance
- Ability to effectively interact with sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences present in the organization’s service population, both individually and in groups.
- Must have an understanding of youth and their different behaviors.
- Ability to handle stress and exercise self-control.

Physical Requirements:
The incumbent must be able to finger, grasp, feel, walk, climb stairs, sit, see, hear, and speak. Must be able to effectively operate the current computer system, telephone system, other office equipment and washers and dryers. Must be able to operate an automobile and van and possess a valid driver’s license, automobile liability insurance and a good driving record.

Your responsibilities will also include but not be limited to:
- Property and facility upkeep including grounds keeping and housekeeping
- Complete the rental agreements, receipts, insurance addendum and any other documents required for the transaction and/or reporting.
- Collection of all rent, fees and other monies owed to the business.
- Maintain tenant files utilizing computer system as provided; Prepare and mail weekly, monthly and other requested reports.
- Send required tenant legal notices
- Make courtesy and collection calls, collect past-due rent, and document these calls in the tenant files.
- Process and initiate collection services and process delinquent accounts in accordance with policy and federal and state law.
- Maintain posted office hours and preserve the office, merchandise area, common areas in a clean, organized, business-like manner.
- Keep empty storage spaces clean and ready to rent.
- Participate in the promotion and accurate tracking of marketing programs and outside tracking services i.e., telephone support centers as prescribed by Employer;
