We are looking for a work camper couple to help out at our RV Park for the summer season of 2024.  We are a small family run park in the idyllic city of Lander, WY.  Our town is an outdoor mecca, close enough for day trips to the Grand Tetons or Yellowstone National Park and within walking distance of Lander Main St. 

This is a full time position for both workers 35-40 hrs a week from April 22nd - October 13th.  Applicants must be able to carry at least 65 lbs, be comfortable with basic maintenance duties and moderate computer skills. Assist with minor construction/yard work projects, bathroom/ cabin cleaning, front desk duties and have excellent customer service skills.

Wages: $15 per hour +  FHU. Your RV/trailer cannot be longer than 29 ft. We have a 24 hr bath house and laundry facilities, splash pad, play ground, pavilion and koi pond.

Workcamper(s) - Austin TX Area

Redbud Ranch Cabin & RV Resort in Hutto, TX outside of Austin,  is looking for workcampers starting in April/May for a summer commitment.   We are looking for a single or couple that is willing to exchange 20 hours a week for a level full hook up RV site.

Rotating weekends will be required. Duties range from coffee service, valet trash pick up, prepare sites for check in and out, light maintenance, mowing and light cleaning.

Part-time Ministry/Activity Coordinator - Saluda, NC

Join Orchard Lake Campground in the beautiful mountains of Saluda, NC!

Part-time Ministry/Activity Coordinator single or couple position available. Position opening mid March through end of October (4-month commitment minimum).

Responsibilities include:

• Planning and Facilitating Kid's Bible Club (including teaching Bible Stories)
• Planning and Facilitating Family Bonfire Movie Nights
• Planning and Facilitating Holiday Activities (bingo, parade, slip n slide, etc)
• Assisting with campground daily/weekly tasks per skill/ability (site checks, office, grounds, etc).

Compensation is 10 hours/week/site for FHU plus hourly wage for additional hours worked and other benefits.

Guides and counsels youth on appropriate skills and behaviors and provides youth with moral, spiritual and educational development needed for future success. Youth come to the Boys Town Family Home Program for a variety of reasons – family issues, abuse, neglect, abandonment, involvement in the juvenile justice system. You come in by presenting them with opportunities in education and school involvement, giving them their first happy Thanksgiving or teaching them how faith can help them heal. Responsibilities:

Live on-site in a Boys Town Family Home and provide direct care for 6-8 at-risk youth through creating a safe and loving family-style living environment

Provide emotional support utilizing praise, positive feedback, affection and empathy to build one’s self-confidence and respect

Use rational problem-solving techniques to teach youth critical thinking skills, assist with behavioral problems, counsel through personal issues and provide crisis intervention

Plan, participate and provide opportunities for individual and family activities that are both educational and entertaining

Display and teach parenting, family and relationship skills to youth, legal guardians and caretakers to create family engagement

Maintain contact with both internal and external consumers agencies to obtain or provide information regarding youth’s behaviors, strategies and progress

Prepare written records for household budgeting, tracking youth progress, reporting incidents/behaviors and document youth medical needs and appointments

Teach and role model Boys Town values and ethical behaviors, as well as support and encourage participation in regular religious activities

Supervise the activities of assigned Assistant Family-Teacher to aid in their development and success

Manage the daily operating schedule of the home; assist with youth transportation needs, and overall household upkeep

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, EQUIPMENT USAGE, WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Must have and maintain sufficient mental acuity and physical strength, agility, and endurance to perform all job requirements (including stressful situations - physically, mentally, and emotionally) encountered on the job without compromising the health and well-being of self, fellow employees, and youth or families. Must have sufficient vision, hearing, speech and the mobility to monitor youth, actively participate in safety procedures, assist and perform daily household chores, and participate in activities with youth. Specific requirements include, but are not limited to: the ability to push and pull at least 80 pounds of force, lift up to 50 pounds, carry safely up to 30 pounds, as well as the ability to reach overhead, bend, and squat with ease. Examples of required activities include, but are not limited to: moving furniture, climbing stairs, cooking, playing games, maintaining the exterior grounds including mowing and shoveling; as well as the ability to safely transport youth regardless of weather or time of day/night. Subject to outside environmental conditions occasionally and inside conditions frequently. Includes constant interruptions, inappropriate behaviors, and the potential for verbal and physical threats from youth.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Be at least 21 years of age or older

High School diploma or equivalent is required, some college credit is preferred

Must possess a valid marriage certificate

Valid driver’s license with good driving record and ability to pass MVR Check

Flexibility and willingness to work a wide array of hours, which includes days, evenings, weekends and holidays

Ability to pass a thorough background check and reference verification procedure in order to determine one’s fitness to satisfactorily and safely care for youth

Ability to attend a 2-week paid training in Omaha, Nebraska

FEATURED JOB OPENING: Private Lake and Wilderness Compound - Levering, MI

Looking for a retired couple for part time work, full time living on a beautiful up north compound consisting of a private lake, 207 acres of wilderness, 4 guest/rental cottages, a clubhouse, a huge pavilion with fireplace, a main home, a woodworking shop, and a caretaker home.  Tennis court, volleyball court, horseshoe court, basketball court, swimming, fishing, boating activities on property.  

Duties include transitioning housekeeping cottages and property between guest stays, housekeeping main house periodically, mowing in summer, snow blowing in winter, watering plants and flowers, spring cleanup and fall prep for winter.  General handyman maintenance such as painting/staining, minor repair work or if large project or bigger maintenance items then coordinating with contractors to complete the work.  Estimate 10-12 hours per week.  All necessary up to date equipment provided and on property, must be comfortable with operating tractor, mower, miscellaneous leaf blowers, chain saw, wood splitter, etc.
