WORK WITH BOYS on BOATS & FULFILL YOUR PURPOSE in a fun, energetic environment.   Safe Harbor Boys Home featured in People Magazine & in the Hallmark movie "Safe Harbor" and in many national media forms seeks a ministry minded, mission-focused "called to serve" couple with varied skills and talents to  lead the ministry into the next 40 years of service to adolescent boys & families.  Following a houseparent model, live on site couples provide direct care for a small group of adolescent boys (12-15 maximum), age 14 to 17, to foster their character, spiritual & emotional growth, along with vocational skill sets. Program provides live in quarters aboard one of our program vessels (power or sailboat) or you may bring your own live-aboard vessel, or your own RV may be considered for the right couple.

 

Couples who have practical life experience, boating, sailing &/or small space living experience is preferred.  Other vocational skills that are assets include - off grid living, carpentry, mechanical, sewing, canvas work, boat repair, marina work, gardening, etc.  Must have strong relationship skills, be able to correct without 'coddling' - ongoing training is provided.   This is a VERY ACTIVE position with lots of time walking the property, docks, boarding boats, climbing stairs so good physical health is crucial.

Our Sunridge community is seeking a responsible caring married couple to job share with an existing couple, 7 days on and 7 days off, for a maximum of four men who reside in their home. The private home is located just outside the quaint college town of Ellensburg, 1.5 hours east from Seattle. The home is specifically designed to promote independent living for four men with developmental disabilities and utilizes various smart-home technologies designed to support them.

 

The care philosophy of the home is to encourage positive reinforcement with respect to each resident. Our houseparents are responsible for overseeing the residents established daily routines and caring for the home. We strive to integrate all the typical daily opportunities experienced by individuals into a unifying whole, so that these men’s lives are truly as rich and fulfilling as possible.  The home is constructed on a large land parcel and features expansive living spaces with beautiful views.

 

Position Compensation starting at:

Salary per couple is $82,000 based on four residents in the house.

Regular wage increases based on hours worked along with a comprehensive benefit package including high-quality health insurance, PTO, etc.

Housing, utilities, and food are provided as well as a house SUV to drive when on-duty.

Relocation assistance and paid training provided.

 

Work Schedule:

Houseparents operate on a “7 days on duty and 7 days off duty” rotation.

During their 7 days on duty, the houseparents will reside in the master suite in the main house. The main bedroom is “flipped” like a hotel room between rotating couples.

Private housing is provided when off duty.

 

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent; experience working with developmentally disabled individuals preferred but not required. Must have a valid driver’s license.

Must complete the requirements to become an Individual Provider (IP) with Consumer Direct Care Network Washington (CDWA). CDWA will process background checks and all employment hiring documents. Based on this information they determine if you are eligible to become an employee of CDWA and can provide services to our residents.

Caregivers need to be physically and mentally capable of implementing each resident’s care plan which can include daily medications, personal hygiene care, behavioral support, meal planning and cooking, housework, light yard maintenance, etc. This home is a non-smoking environment.

Must be reliable, flexible, and passionate about enriching the lives of those with developmental disabilities and have the ability to work in a team environment.

With a fleet of mobile retail stores spanning the United States and brick-and-mortar retail locations in Northern Indiana, we are committed to providing exceptional service and premium products to the medical community.

As an Area Sales Route Driver at Scrubs on Wheels, you will be the face of the company, traveling across the sales area, conducting sales in our mobile uniform store at facilities such as nursing homes and hospitals. Providing excellent customer service and keeping a professional and clean mobile store will be paramount to your success. Sales take place on site at the facility inside of our mobile retail store.

We provide each Area Sales Route Driver with a 38-foot gooseneck trailer that is pulled with a company-provided one ton Dually. Each mobile store is equipped with heat & air that utilizes a generator.

A typical work week consists of 8 to 10 sales events within the sales area. Typically, sales events are conducted twice a day Monday – Friday. Sales times can vary depending upon size of facility and are usually 2-4 hours each.

REQUIREMENTS

Requires traveling for up to five days at a time, staying in comfortable hotels. Company pays for fuel and hotel as well as a daily meal stipend.

Clean driving history and ability to obtain DOT physical card and Class A CDL.

Overnight travel 3-4 days a week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Travel across the sales area, conducting sales in our mobile uniform store.

Receive inventory, stock, clean and maintain clean professional mobile store.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to achieve sales goals.

Identify new business opportunities and expand market share within the region.

This position requires traveling for 3-4 days a week overnight. The company pays for fuel and hotels costs as well as offering a daily meal stipend.

Drivers are required to maintain hours of service logs as required by FMCSA.

Plan and optimize driving routes for efficient sales visits.

QUALIFICATIONS

Proven experience in sales, preferably in a regional or territory management role.

Experience in account management and maintaining an elevated level of customer satisfaction.

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and maintain relationships.

Excellent sense of direction and the ability to take and follow directions.

Class A CDL – We are willing to provide training to the right candidate.

A clean, verifiable driving record for commercial purposes.

Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while working without direct supervision.

Competent in basic technical skills such as computer skills, internet, email etc.

Possess the physical ability to lift 25-50 lbs.
