Management/Maintenance Couple for RV Resort - Darby, MT

A small resort located in Darby in the Bitterroot Valley of southwestern Montana is looking for workcampers to assist with office duties, lawn maintenance, and light building maintenance.  We would like a dependable couple who are non-smokers, team players with people skills, and in good physical condition.

This position is very flexible allowing the workcampers ample free time.  You will live onsite in your own RV.  Full hookups (water, sewer, electric, cable TV and wifi) will be provided in exchange for the following:  periodic office time answering phone calls, making reservations, and checking in guests and lawn maintenance.  Workers will be provided a cordless phone/intercom allowing them to work conveniently in their RV or anywhere onsite as opposed to sitting in the office.  Lawn maintenance includes occasional mowing and weed eating as necessary and monitoring the irrigation system.  

An additional salary will be paid to the workcampers when they occasionally take over management of the resort when owners are away for any extended period of time.  Other work is available such as housekeeping services and building projects if interested.  Preferred commitment is from mid-May/June through mid-October, 2018.

Seeking Resident Motel Managers - Watsonville, CA

We are seeking a couple to manage our 30 unit property located in Watsonville, CA.  

We are looking for a two person team that is honest, dependable and self-motivated team.  Prior experience required as in-house resident manager.

Duties include, but are not limited to: 

•   Guest relations and reservations
•   Maintenance and some laundry
•   Managing housekeeping staff and ordering supplies
•   Management of Rates

Skills:

•    Prior onsite management experience a plus

Hospitality couple - Lenox, MA

Our Inn in Lenox, MA is looking for seasonal help in the kitchen and front of the house. We are open year-round; however, the summer months represent our peak season. We have a 24-seat (inside), 30-seat (veranda) fine dining restaurant, an unrivaled outdoor lawn setting, where we offer drinks and small plates, and a 12-suite boutique inn.

This would be an ideal position for a couple who has front and back of the house experience in restaurants and/or hotels. We are seeking individuals to join us from beginning of June through the end of December. Hours per week will range from 40-65 hours. A room can be made available for the right person. We can also assist in finding housing off property.

Key Accountabilities/Deliverables

Frontline Service (65%)

• Act as ambassador & liaison for company with customers, proactively building relationships
• Maintain cleanliness of Alexander Falls Base facilities, the shop, and proper storage of all equipment
• Ensure that any required building maintenance is taken care of (snow-shoveling)
• Warmly welcoming and engaging all customers with genuine dialogue about daily snow conditions, trail highlights, and enthusiasm for Nordic pursuits
• Employ expert product knowledge and selling techniques to promote products, services, packages, etc.
• Update both outdoor and digital weather/trail conditions boards daily
• Contribute daily to various social media channels in a way that will enhance Callaghan Country brand and communicate experiences available at Alexander Falls Touring Centre
• Respond to emails and phone calls in a timely manner

Ski Shop Sales & Administration (15%)

• Setting up the Ski Shop at the start of the season/ Closing at the end of the season
• Merchandise products in a way that optimizes sales
• Conducting performance measure evaluations and optimizing sales methods to increase ski shop revenues
• Account for all security issues involving cash, theft, liability and premises
• Maintain store inventory levels and assist in the development of purchase plans that co-ordinate successfully with fiscal sales projections
• Operate POS system and all related procedures (ie. process payments, perform daily cash-outs)
• Maintain accurate sign-out/return of rental inventory (check returned rentals for damage)
• Find the proper boot fit for each customer to create positive Nordic experiences 
• Recommend equipment sizes and ensure they are set correctly for skill level (ski/pole lengths)
• Train and schedule Ski Rental Shop/Retail Sales Associates to support holiday and weekend periods

Marketing/Social Media Initiatives (10%)

• Collecting data/statistics on customer demographics
• Generating, editing, publishing and sharing daily social media content including writing posts to publicize events, marketing campaigns and potentially product launches
• Moderating all user-generated content as per the moderation policy for each community forum
• Analyzing and reporting on social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
• Monitoring trending conversations, audience insights and overall performance of the business within social media channels
• Seeking opportunities to improve and strengthen the brand through digital storytelling
• Coordinating site visits with Bloggers and key media influencers and leveraging their content

Journeyman Lodge Guest Services & Sales (10%)

• Use selling techniques to promote packages, products, services etc.
• Estimate or quote prices, policies, itineraries and travel information
• Counsel customers on terms and conditions of reservations e.g. cancellation policies
• Book reservations in the webrezpro property management system
• Work with Adventure Coordinator to process payments and refunds; reconcile accounts
• Communicate with the Adventure Sales Coordinator about upcoming reservations, to determine rental requirements
• Identify and solicit new clients or target groups

Caretakers WANTED: Reliable, rugged and personable  couple to care for a rural Vermont property which includes 2 rustic buildings, 3 rental cabins, 2 lakes on 400 acres surrounded by protected land in Mt Holly, VT.   

Duties include equipment, water system and building maintenance, mowing, snow removal, rental cabin preparation and cleaning. Greet, orient and support renters through rental season; provide security during off season. Strong communication skills required for interaction with renters, corporation members, contractors and local community. Self-starting and organizational skills required for project management.
