It will require dedication, commitment, team-orientation, passion and a huge heart for the population we serve. Camp Season: 9-10 weeks of 24/7 summer camp, (long days, nights and/or weekends when necessary) and scheduled weekends during the remainder of the year in which campers are present. There is also a small Day Program at the camp which operates Monday-Friday 8-4 pm. All other times will be used for growing, maintaining and repairing the facility.
We are hoping to find a team to share in many responsibilities and skills which would include: carpentry/construction is a must, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, operation of machinery and tractor, small motor maintenance and repair, vehicle upkeep and repair, housekeeping, kitchen cook during camp and weekend, other duties: landscaping, gardening, and some retail, administration and outreach, supervision, and participation in the day-to-day general maintenance and security of camp. Other responsibilities include ensuring that all equipment remains in proper working order and compliance with standard operating procedures and safety standards and state licensing requirements, assisting in maintaining an inventory of all Camp property, and assists with rental groups. Previous management and maintenance experience a necessity as you may supervise a small crew during busy seasons
Minimum qualifications: High school Diploma,CPR/First Aid and Finger-Print Qualified, experience in facilities management, and construction trades.Must reside on campus (housing provided). Salary based on experience. Compensation includes housing, utilities, phone, wireless internet, medical insurance and retirement plans, vacation and sick time, meals during camping sessions, and camp vehicle.
This is NOT.. a retirement job, in fact the people you are replacing have worked at camp for 17 years!!! This job is not an easy one, but the more you give the more you will get, not only monetary, but it will fill your heart! We seek one or two people (a couple) that will work all aspects of the business. This is an assistant manager position at a small, but sometimes extremely busy, waterfront property. You will be living on site, considered essential personnel and will work in all areas of the property including, but not limited to, housekeeping, laundry, guest services, front desk, reservations and maintenance issues. Candidates must have PRIOR HOSPITALITY EXPERIENCE!!! This position requires strong communication and computer skills, 2nd person with front desk/marketing/maintenance experience is a plus. Housing is a brand new three bedroom, full bathroom private cottage that includes water and sewer. As Assistant Manager, you report to Resort Operations Manager and are required to be flexible with your schedule. You will be required to work every day in peak season and holidays and be on-call if needed. We will do our best to schedule time off in slower season. This position requires a structured lifestyle geared to guest hospitality and an understanding our work load changes daily according to guest traffic and guest needs. You MUST be self-starters capable of multi-tasking and independently planning the work for the day for yourselves as well as any scheduled employees.
