Maintenance Laborer and Office Help
A Laborer is required to operate equipment such as, but is not limited to: utility vehicles, string trimmers, hand and push blowers, edger’s, spreaders, hand sprayers, weed eaters, and other equipment. Principle duties include but not limited to equipment operation; flower bed maintenance; restroom cleaning and light
janitorial duties; picking up debris; landscape and clubhouse maintenance tasks such as: weeding; raking; mulching; shoveling and digging; trimming; and other duties as assigned and typically found in landscape maintenance operations.
The person in this position must be able to get along well with employees, customers, clients and management and represent the RV Park in a positive light. The employee will perform most duties outside. The employee will experience noise/vibrations outside. Job requires employee to perform duties at a company site; working alone and closely with others, in excessive heat & humidity, occasional cold; with exposure to chemicals, solvents, detergents, cleaners, fumes, smoke, gases; will walk on uneven surfaces and operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles. Essential Duties Operate various types of equipment and use hand tools typical to the landscape, horticulture maintenance field. Basic knowledge of landscape operations practices and equipment.
Perform equipment operation and other maintenance tasks according to established safety and risk management practices. Performs other duties as assigned.
The office duties will consist of answering phones, collecting rent, check ins and check outs etc.
- We are open 7 days a week so schedules will vary.

The successful candidate couple for this position will have the ability to assist with all aspects of the campground including front desk, grounds / pool maintenance, and the campground store. In return we offer a campsite for 24 hours per week (combined), $10/hour for all additional hours worked and a bonus at the completion of the season.

Our current managers split roles between business operations and maintenance. One half manages housekeeping, guest services, some administrative duties. The other half manages the maintenance staff and is responsible for property operations (landscaping, remodeling, repairs). Our expectation is that our new couple would work with our existing managers for a period of time to gain experience. As our current managers reduce work load and responsibility over time, the new couple increase management responsibility to the point of being able to run all aspects of the business.
Opportunity is currently available, but we are not in a rush. Most concerned about finding the right fit. Ideally filled by July 2018.
Experience and Expectations:
- Hospitality and Maintenance experience preferred
- Ability to supervise &/or manage a combined staff of 15-25 employees (housekeeping/maintenance/guest services)
- Familiar with typical office systems and strong organization skills
- Strong customer service attitude, positive attitude and presentation
- Maintenance – ability to do all forms of maintenance, landscaping and repairs and remodel.
o Replace windows and siding
o Build decks, replace doors, install appliances, gas fireplaces, lock systems
o Light plumbing, electrical (we hire trade professionals as needed)
o Maintain schedules, work and project plans
- Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus but not required

· What housing is provided? We have a 2 bedroom/1 bath apartment in a wonderful location set up for this opportunity (walk to work). Total compensation package will determine if fully paid or subsidized. Property is dedicated to employee housing as inventory in Cannon Beach is limited.
· Pets? Sorry but no. Our hotel does not allow pets and we prefer that our employee housing be non-pet as well.
· Children/Family – situation dependent. Not opposed, but accommodations offered would not fit a large family.
· Does your property provide food services? No, not really looking for B&B food service type experience.
· Hours? Full time, 40 hrs a week. Over time salary structure and ‘on call’ responsibility. Weekends and Holidays are common but not all.
· Interview Process? Depending on response our plan will be to identify a few primary finalists and perform phone/skype interviews and eventually onsite interviews. Local region is preferred but might plan travel for the right candidate to visit our location.

We are a private campground located along the Yakima River. We are seeking a part time caretaking team. We have a club house, seven outlying bathrooms, a ball park, a few picnic areas and roads in camp that need qualified caretakers to keep clean and maintained. We are looking for a couple to work a minimum of two days per week, year round.
Office position consists of:
-Answer Phones
-Monitor our key controlled gate access
-Assist members and guests with questions
-Sell sundry items
-Collect fees
-Cleaning of club house and main restrooms
-Plus, other duties as required/when needed
Outside position consists of:
-Clean restrooms and buildings
-Filling propane bottles
-Painting/NON structural repair of buildings

The selected RVers must be self-starters who are motivated workers without daily supervision and who take pride in their work at all times. While our camp is open all year, there is not much to do in the winter months as there are few campers and all outlying restrooms are closed, thus reducing the cleaning and maintenance required. If you are good with people, have some computer skills and can operate our equipment and want to interact with nice people, let us know! We offer a monthly salary ($500.00 Per Person), covered place to park your RV near the entry gate.
We provide full hook up, propane, electric, water, sewer, garbage, Internet, Satellite TV, laundry, extra 10x12 storage shed, Fenced area for garden or pets (there are guidelines for allowed pets). We will require a background check, driver's abstract before a job is offered. Drug testing may be requested prior to employment.
