A locally owned Self-Storage Company in Idaho is seeking a Resident Manager couple, to oversee the day-to-day operations of a self-storage facility. Great opportunity to live and work together.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• General office and clerical skills including telephone sales, record keeping, computer bookkeeping, rentals, vacates, transfers and other customer service needs.
• Sales and Collection Calls 
• General maintenance and upkeep of the physical appearance of the property including sweeping, weed control, cleaning, minor door or building repairs
• Cleaning and general upkeep of the property apartment, office and restrooms.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Previous experience in a customer service related industry
• Previous experience in self storage preferred

CERTIFICATES/LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS:

• Must possess a valid standard driver’s license, currently registered motor vehicle in reliable working order and insurance.

SKILLS:

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills – both written and verbal.
• Proficiency with Windows based personal computer applications.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, documents such as rental agreements, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and policy manuals.
• Ability to apply common sense, good judgment and offer solutions in dealing with problems.
• Must be organized, efficient and professional at all times.
• Must be reliable, honest and trustworthy.

Required to live onsite. Pay starts at $2500/mo per couple and includes housing.

Will work 35 to 40 hours each, 5 days/week (to be scheduled.)

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for residents
• Conduct routine inspections of vacant homes and overall park condition
• Review new tenant applications and communicate with Asset Manager
• Perform light maintenance duties as needed
• Coordinate home sales and rental transactions
• Review pricing of competitive properties

Requirements:

• General knowledge of repair and maintenance duties
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Microsoft Word, Excel, and email proficient (experience with Rent Manager property management software a plus)
