Resident Managers Wanted - Edmonton, AB

We're looking for a Resident Manager for an apartment building in central Edmonton, west of downtown. We have a pet friendly, non-smoking adults-oriented apartment building (20 suites).

This is a part-time job. It is compatible with jobs that have irregular hours (not 9-5 weekdays), or for people in post-secondary studies. It's good for couples and anyone seeking part time work. The job: being responsible for looking after the building (This job doesn't include any tradesperson work). Typically it will take 6-10 hours/week.

In exchange, we offer a recently renovated two bedroom apartment, approximately 800 square feet in size, plus basic income tax remittances on the apartment. Total value= $1050/month. The suite comes with one parking stall. Heat, water and telephone are included. In the building, we have laundry facilities and a security camera system. We also offer extra work beyond the base salary and responsibilities: We pay $25/hour for handyman work, like painting, and minor repairs, when necessary, and seasonal snow and lawn work (if you're not interested, we can hire it out). Applicants would also preferably own or have access to a truck.

Experience is preferred but not required. If you haven't done building management work before, let us know whatever related experience you may have. We are looking for a start in August, 2018, so we want to find a candidate before the end of June.

The property is a second home and the owners are seeking a live-in couple to manage all aspects of running the property to a very high standard while they are not in residence. Accordingly, the role includes all daily interior domestic duties as well as general daily exterior maintenance and repairs, as well as coordination/oversight of various tradesmen providing complex services to the property, such as electricians, plumbers etc. Responsibilities include taking care of the main house, out-buildings, fields, property equipment: snow plow in winter months, lawnmower in spring-summer-fall months, feeding, tending, and caring for our domestic farm animals: 1 horse, 2 goats, chickens, and rabbits. When the owners are in residence, duties will include all of the above as well as assistance with food preparation and making the beds. Must love the outdoors.

The position includes the use by the couple of a fully separate 3-bedroom home, with utilities paid for by the employer. Previous similar experience essential. Two references, a clean driving record, and drug free.

· This is NOT a 9-5 job. You must be avail for emergencies at house or when guests are there. Flexible hours, but typically M-F and half days on Saturdays

Compensation:

· Live rent free in a beautiful 3 bedroom home, electric and gas paid.

· Use of company vehicle

· $1000.00 per week PLUS extra 200.00 cleaning fee after guests stay.

The husband’s responsibilities will include light maintenance, lawn mowing, some gardening, and help with errands and any heavy cleaning and/or cooking. In other words, we want you to work as a team and to help each other.

We are a senior Labrador sanctuary located in North Florida on 7.5 beautiful, seculded acres. We are approximately 30 minutes from the beautiful beaches of Panama City. We rescue and provide care and a forever home for these forgotten babies in their golden years. We have two full hookup (50amp) RV sites on the property and would like to find a long term, year round caretaker couple or individual to help us in exchange for one of the sites.

Your responsibilites would include one to two feedings a day, keeping their area clean and giving them all of the love that they can handle. There may be some light maintenance included from time to time but nothing major would be required or expected. There are always projects to be done as we are growing so if you get bored and want to help we will not turn you away... You would be sharing the daily duties with one other couple for at least 6 months during the year.
