Executive Chef and Operations Manager Couple - Siargao Island, Philippines

The Cafe/Restaurant of a beautiful new resort on the fabulous  Philippine island of Siargao has just been completed and we are looking for a looking for an innovative and passionate couple to be an Executive Chef for the Kitchen and Café/Restaurant Manager.  This position is ideal for an ambitious couple looking for a great work opportunity on a paradise tropical island. People who are willing to consistently introduce new ideas to the menu and directly benefit from the success of the café/restaurant.

We want someone to develop creative breakfast and lunch/dinner menus, based on seasonal healthy locally sourced food and drinks.  Passionate individuals who will help to train kitchen and restaurant staff and act as Operations Managers. Upbeat and friendly personalities, a positive attitude, the ability to learn quickly, and a willingness to do all the tasks that are necessary for the proper running of the café/restaurant are crucial to success in these positions.

The resort is a great location, a beautiful and prominent building that everyone passes on their way to surf.  Siargao island is expanding extremely fast and tourism is based on surfing, but has broadened greatly in the last 18 months. There are approximately 16 surf breaks within 15 minutes motorbike ride from the cafe/restaurant. We want a relaxed and low key launch, with a limited high quality offer.  I want to work with a couple that can:

• Design the menu based on the available foods
• Source the food supplies and ability to cost purchases and budget meals acccurately
• Staff management. Supervising, scheduling, training, management & coaching skills.
• Help identify and train an Assistant Manager to assist you
• Conformity to the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical behavior
• Oversea the ongoing operation of the business as an Operations Managers
• Work with me to develop the café/restaurant and maximise its potential.

Ideal candidates will have an innate sense of hospitality, empathy and humility coupled with a strong work ethic and desire to lead. They will be passionate about all aspects of hospitality and restaurant culture and possess great organizational and prioritization skills.

The main remuneration will be in the form of generous profit share in the café/restaurant business. It will be your responsibility to ensure that all aspects of the business run smoothly.  Once the business has been set up and is running smoothly, I will be contributing in terms of observational feedback relating to things I see when using the restaurant as a customer. My main involvement will be in the marketing of the business and overseeing its general direction and not hands on day to day involvement.

Maintenance Manager - Manufactured Home / Mobile Home Community The Maintenance Supervisor will implement GMR work, manage an in-house maintenance staff and execute on Capital Improvement and Rehab construction. We need a Maintenance manager who worked himself up through the ranks running crews and managing subcontractors. Caretakers for Remote Backcountry Lodge - CASCADE Idaho

We are looking for an adventurous couple to caretake our remote backcountry lodge this winter.  This location is only accessible by snowmobile in winter ( 25 mile ride) there is no phone service, we do have GOOD satellite internet and 24 hr sheriff's radio. The lodge is very comfortable and cozy.

Duties would include but not limited to....general housekeeping and maintenance, pumping gas and serving burgers to the occasional drop in snowmobiler, cabin rental and full meals to the VERY occasional guests.  Would need to be on duty by early November and plan to be here through the month of May. Lots of solitude and beauty. Compensation is room and board and a great life style. May consider a small stipend.

Resident Building Caretaker - Courtenay, BC

We are currently seeking a full time, year round, live-in Caretaker to reside on beautiful Mount Washington, near the Comox Valley. Our building has 59 units, a hot tub, as well as an underground parking area. The successful applicant will have a background with most facets of operating and maintaining a residential building as well as a general understanding of snow removal/handling. The position also encompasses some interaction with owners, as well as their guests.

The position is full time for one person, but is also well suited for a couple. While being a year round position, it is busiest during the ski season. It is not suitable for someone wanting part time work.

Currently,  we are  seeking House Parents to live in and provide trauma-informed parenting to residents, oversee the residential home, and provide day-to-day programming, treatment, and guidance for residents.
