FEATURED JOB OPENING: Summer Housekeeping for a Couple at a Beautiful Lodge near Yellowstone National Park - Island Park, ID

This job opening has expired. Click here to see the latest job openings.

WHY DO WE SHOW EXPIRED LISTINGS?

Housekeeping Help needed from about April 30 through mid-August or through end of September. If interested but you can't start April 30th let me know when you could start. I have another couple who are interested in working from about mid-August to the end of September but if you wanted to work the whole season you could.

Duties: General housekeeping - laundry, cleaning, making beds, putting out breakfast foods, occasionally buy breakfast food (on account) if we happen to run out of something between stockings, taking garbage and recycling to the dump, minor repairs, and other misc. chores that may arise. Helping guests as needed. I pay $5 extra to pay for gas each time you have to go to the dump or get groceries. (We do a continental breakfast for our guests, so no cooking involved.)

Each person would be cleaning about 5.5 to 6.5 hours a day depending on how many rooms leave, so on average 6 hours a day. I pay a salary of $450 a week per person.  Helpers are also allowed to have the breakfast foods that are for guests, for their own breakfast.  During the first 6 weeks and last 3 weeks or so of the season it is slower so you could expect to work an hour or more less per day than during the rest of the busier season where there are times you could work more than a hour longer than a typical day. Hope that makes sense!

You would have your own bedroom in the lodge and have two consecutive days off a week. However, you do not have a private bathroom, but there is a bathroom right outside the bedroom door that you would share with guests.  You would also have your own refrigerator separate from the guests that you would share with the helpers who come on your day off.

The Hideaway Lodge is about 20 min. from the nearest, small grocery store and about 35 minutes from a larger one and an hour from Rexburg, which has a Walmart and other bigger stores to shop at. It is 45 minutes from the west entrance of Yellowstone National Park and about 2 ½ hours from Grand Teton National Park.
