Job Requirements:
In this role, we are seeking a Farm/Maintenance/Handyperson(s) that is looking for an opportunity to keep themselves busy while enjoying the outdoors. You are team oriented, motivated, and can prioritize tasks. You will play a support role at our South Hazelton, BC location, reporting to the Logistics Coordinator. This position is a year-round position living on the property with flexible time off as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Observe and identify maintenance and or safety issues and respond accordingly.
- Maintain the inside and outside of the property as if it is your own home.
- Identify and rectify any deficiencies or maintenance issues (basic repairs).
- Repairs may include plumbing, electrical, heating, cooling ventilation, furnishings and fixtures, painting, carpentry, door and window repairs.
- Maintain oil heaters.
- Cut lawn and maintain trails
- Snow removal.
- Winterize properties and outbuildings.
- Maintenance and upkeep of staff accommodation.
- Exercise and feed 6 Labrador retrievers and maintain dog runs as required.
- Work cooperatively with the rest of the team.
Required Knowledge & Experience
- Hardworking and adaptable individual
- Hay and garden experience would be an asset
- Must work well without supervision.
- Must be physically fit
- Tickets and other certifications are an asset.
- Ability to work and live on the property
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Able to maintain working a 10 – 12-hour shift.
Community Manager Position - Detroit, MI

The Community Manager is accountable for all day to day property operations and enhancing the value of the property. The community manager will focus primarily on community management, resident retention/relations, and daily operations. They are expected to perform regular operational tasks such as collecting rent and loan payments, managing supplies and marketing materials, developing staff, and protecting all company assets. The CM is also the main advocate for the residents and will be the point person when it comes to resolving all complaints that come through your office. COUPLES are welcome to apply!
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Leading on-site sales and marketing efforts
- Enhancing resident experience
- Maintaining and developing good working relationships between vendors and the corporate office
- Administering and maintaining resident ledgers
- Overseeing customer billing and collections
- Executing the company’s standard operating procedures and policies
- Working with vendors to beautify the property
- Providing seasonal lawn care – mowing, leaf removal, shrub trimming, etc.
- Performing general community clean-up tasks
- Maintaining and repairing common area amenities including pools/spas, laundry equipment, playgrounds and other recreational equipment to ensure proper operation, if applicable.
- Preventative maintenance on community equipment – mowers, blowers, trimmers, etc.
- Other duties and projects as assigned by Regional Manager
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Team oriented with an exceptionally strong work ethic and outstanding interpersonal skills
- Problem solving and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Communication skills
- Strong judgement and decision-making skills
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to create legible written reporting and note taking
- Basic computer knowledge, particularly email and internet
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Availability to work on an on-call as needed during non-business hours

Innkeeper Couple Needed - Amsterdam

operate our 10 room Bed and Breakfast/Hotel in Amsterdam.
The BnB is located in the neighborhood, Heesterveld in the district of
Amsterdam Zuid-Oost next to the Metrostation Bullewijk (15 minutes
from city centre)
The building is a former social housing complex now partly
transformed into business spaces and creative student housing
Heesterveld is creative hub of activities as art, architecture, music, food
and hospitality. The neighborhood is an upcoming area in transition.
The hotel is one of the place makers.
BnB ZOH is positioned as a bed and breakfast to emphasize the
character of small, local, cozy and privately owned.
We do not serve breakfast. All rooms have a small shared kitchen In the
same building a café serves breakfast and lunch which is optional for
our guests.
We are an affordable alternative for the more expensive hotels in the city
and very well connected with local transport (metro).
Our theme is 'Stay creative book a creative stay.'
Most guests are in the age of 25-35. From the bigger cities in the UK,
France, Spain , Germany, Italy and Asia
Minimum stay is 2 nights. We do not clean occupied rooms only
bathrooms and kitchen are cleaned everyday.
Besides the hotel with 10 rooms we have a Gallery (exhibition space for
local and international artist , also to be used as a space for
presentation/flexworkers), the hotel presents a lot of art, each room
has it own art.
We are looking for a young couple who would like to run the whole operation of the
BnB/hotel which means
- administration and communication with guests via email
- handling reservations and bookings (most bookings via Booking.com)
- daily cleaning of the rooms and reception (average of 4-6 to rooms to clean
per day)
- taking care of the laundry : washing and ironing
- organize check-ins and check-outs
- 24 hour presence/availability at the building /reception
Fee : 2500 euro per month (self employed professional)
Start 1 st March 2020.
Training 15th February 2020 -28 February 2020. Minimum contract period 12 months
Free housing: large private room with shower part which is part of the reception apartment
Experience:

FEATURED JOB OPENING: Gardener and Housekeeper - Morristown area, NJ

Seeking a married couple to work full-time (40 hours per week) who reside within 20 miles (or could possible live on the property). Both positions will begin in January 2021, but ideally require some paid training time during 2020, especially April - September 2020.
1) Gardener - to maintain and care for the Longacre estate property (4 acres) gardens, lawn, and exterior features. Some gardening/landscaping experience is preferable but not required. Individual will be trained by home owner and current gardener who is departing after 14 years of service. Excellent physical condition and desire to work outdoors is important. Job includes operating various maintenance equipment and includes moderate physical labor. Demands of the job vary based on the time of year, with the April to June months the most demanding.
2) Housekeeper - to maintain and care for the interior of the Longacre estate home. Work includes cleaning, laundry, ironing and interior projects under the direction of the head of household. Meal preparation is not required but some modest kitchen assistance maybe needed periodically. Attention to detail and maintaining the household to a high standard is required. Housekeeping/cleaning experience is preferable, with good commication skills and a positive attitude and disposition. Individual will be trained by home owner and current house keeper who is departing after 14 years of service.
One or both employees will be required to live on the property when the owners are traveling 10-12 weeks per year and take care of the very friendly family dog.
