We are a family owned business that prides itself on providing a clean, safe and healing environment where guests can feel at home as they enjoy quiet sanctuary from the busy, modern world. We are situated in a pristine natural setting with 4 flumes of hot mineral waters in which to soak and an 1800-acre nature preserve to hike in and encounter wild life. Guests stay in free standing cabins, the Solar Lodge (an 8-room building), and 2 rooms in the original historic hotel built in 1915, where a large community kitchen and other common areas allows them to cook their own meals and relax in a comfortable setting. 

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician (with an RV), with a partner who is qualified for guest services, administration, and/or housekeeping who works well with others and has the ability to communicate effectively and respectfully; someone who would embrace living off the grid in a remote setting. Staff work closely together to create a healing environment for others, and enjoy the benefits of living so close with nature.

The working couple lives on-site (in their own RV) and works closely with the Head of Maintenance, Housekeeping and/or Guest Services Supervisor, to keep our property well maintained, clean, and operational. There are a dozen structures on the property in addition to the cabins, hotel and solar lodge: a combination of office space, shop space and staff housing. Familiarity with building maintenance, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, septic systems, water systems, and solar systems is important for the Maintenance Technician, and for housekeeping/administration/guest services, training is provided but a healthy, happy attidude is a must! Any combination of job descriptions as a couple should apply! We are looking for an energetic and motivated couple with a strong work ethic to live on site and manage the day to day operations of a 364-unit storage facility. The position requires that the managers live on site. The couple will work together running the office and maintaining the upkeep of the property. One position will be considered full time and one position will be considered part time to relieve the full-time position and work the remaining hours. The salary package includes the use of an apartment with utilities included. Major responsibilities will be: Office - Renting units to new tenants, taking payments, processing move outs and collecting on past due rent to include quarterly lien auctions. Manager must be computer literate and internet familiar. Managers will also be responsible for the safe keeping of all monies coming into facility and make weekly deposits to the bank and producing weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to owner. Successful managers will work proactively on marketing and advertising. Managers will communicate with owners on a regular basis. Property - Managers will be responsible for doing a security check in the morning and evening, making sure that nothing looks disturbed or out of place and that units are generally secure. Managers will also maintain the cleanliness and neatness of all vacant units and the property in general, making sure that all trash and debris are removed, grass is cut and weeds are treated. A daily inspection would be requirement of management. All applicants will be subject to a criminal background check, credit check and drug screening. Midwest Work Camping 2020 Season - Chatham (Springfield) , IL

Our Good Sam 10-10-10 rated park (4 years in a row), is looking for campers to help in the Camp Store/Registration for the 2020 season.

Workers have plenty of time to relax around our pool, visit the local Lincoln sites, Chicago, St Louis, Indianapolis, Hannibal and many other spots a short drive or train ride away.

Our beautiful 125 site park on 25 wooded acres with all pull-through, full-hook up sites is always full of tourists and families relaxing in central Illinois. We swap a full hook -up site for couples that volunteer to help in the office and escorting at this owner occupied/maintained campground.  Workers needed from April 1-Oct 31. Limited options for singles are also available. Work Schedule:  Three weeks on and one week off supporting three ( 3 )model homes.. Will also earn PTO at a rate of 7 days per year.  Clients you are caring for attend an offsite support program (The Trellis Center) M-F year round.

Qualifications:

• Must meet the training requirements to become a Washington State Individual Care Provider (IP). Each houseparent will complete 75 hrs. of paid training to meet the requirements. Employment shall be contingent upon the results of a Washington State background check. Must have a valid Driver’s License.

• A high school diploma or equivalent; experience working with developmentally disabled individuals preferred.

• Caregivers need to be physically and mentally capable performing residents care plan which includes individual personal hygiene, meal planning, cooking, light housework and light yard maintenance.

• Must be reliable, flexible and have the ability to work in a team environment.
