FEATURED JOB OPENING: General Farm Market Workers - Grandy, NC
WHY DO WE SHOW EXPIRED LISTINGS?
We are looking for a total of 5 couples to work in our farm market from mid May to mid September. 2020. We are located 14 miles from Kitty Hawk, and have 5 nice homes that would be included rent free as part of the pay package.
Duties to include cashier work, stocking produce, customer assistance, help with unloading trucks from loading dock with pallet jacks, and some lawn maintenance.
Education Host Volunteer - Superior, AZ
WHY DO WE SHOW EXPIRED LISTINGS?
We require 20 hours per person, per week (40 hours total). Desired attributes in an Education volunteer are experience in education, enthusiasm to work with children and adults, an eagerness to learn about the desert ecosystem and share that knowledge with our visitors. In return for services we provide a site with utilities including electricity, water, and sewer. Propane is not included in site services. Resident Host Volunteers are required to arrange for their own deliveries and service outside the ones we provide.
Cell phone reception differs from carrier to carrier and is spotty (Verizon and T-Mobile seem to work best here). Phone service is available from Quest and Wi-Fi is not provided at the RV spaces at this time (but we are working on it). Volunteer Park Hosts will need to arrange for their own cable, Internet (we might have Wi-Fi by this fall but it is not promised), and phone services.
We have a laundry facility with two washers and two dryers all Resident Volunteers must use to do laundry. The nearest chain grocery store is a 30 minute drive to either Globe, Arizona or Gold Canyon, Arizona.
Resident Park Host Volunteers primarily lead educational walking tours for groups of children and/or adults both public and private daily. The Main Trail is 1.5 miles and some parts of the trail are on a steep grade. Resident Host Volunteers must be physically able to walk the trail, and enthused to lead tours for the public. Tours mostly run in the morning and are once a day, yet they are occasionally in the afternoon and twice a day (in the morning and afternoon). Most tours are about 2 hours long.
Resident Park Host Volunteers also lead educational programs such as workshops and classes; maintain a table during trade shows; set up public and private events (requires ability to move tables and chairs); as well as other duties such as cleaning, gardening, researching, library work, and providing information.
In education the work week is two days off five days on working approximately 4 hours a day. Sometimes the schedule permits a three day weekend. Couples are scheduled off together unless otherwise requested. I arrange in advance a week off sometime in Mid-March to Early April so a vacation can be planned.

Hi!
My brother and I own a Property Management Company in Colorado. We have been in the property management business for 30 years. In fact, our father built these apartment complexes when we were kids and we both used to do work on them during the summers. Beacuse they have been owner managed since being built, they have been cared for as such.
We currently have job openings for teams at a few different subsidized complexes. In Colorado our openings are in Brighton, Fort Lupton, Fort Morgan, Greeley and Berthoud. General gist of the Managment duties: Tenant Certifications, General computer work (email, scan, Microsoft), Move in/outs, rent collection, enforcement of the lease, compliance with governing agencies (LIHTC, RD, HUD)
General gist of the Maintnenace duties: General maintenance work orders, Unit turnovers, light cleaning, Ground/lawn maintenance, preventative maintenance, cooridante subs/ vendors, work through Accesibility transition plans.

Caretaker - Soda Springs, CA

Season
Our season runs approximately from Memorial Weekend (depending on road conditions) through mid-October (depending on the weather)
Work Week
- The job is 5 1/2 days per week
- The 1 1/2 days off shall be a weekday, as agreed upon with the Board of Managers.
- Caretakers are to remain in camp Friday through Monday except in case of emergency. If a trip to Truckee is necessary, one person should remain in camp. If both go, please notify someone in camp.
- Plan ahead the need for food and supplies so thst trips away can be kept at a minimum.
Meal Preparation
- Take reservations and prepare home style meals accordingly. All menus are at caretakers' choice.
Authority
- Discuss any issue with Lodge chairperson.
- The caretaker has the authority to remind Members and guests of the rules. If a problem continues, report the infraction to the Lodge Committee Chairman. If he or she is unavailable, and the problem warrants quick action, contact the next person down the line of authority.
Inform trespassers they are on private property and politely ask them to leave. If there are any further problems, call the Placer County Sheriff's Department Dispatch at 889-7800 (non-emergency number) or 911 in an emergency.
- Check mail at Soda Springs PO Box 730, when off grounds.
Petty Cash
- Use the petty cash account to purchase supplies for the Lodge.
- Keep receipts and accurate records of items purchased, dates, etc.
- Arrange with Treasurer to reimburse petty cash as needed.
Lodge Opening
- Turn electricity on (main switch is at far end of hall)
- Pick up rodent poison.
- Remove shutters and place in storage.
- Remove barricade materials from fireplaces.
- Replace fire bell on stand and stair rail at main steps.
- Clean sleeping rooms; take bedding out of storage, and prepare rooms for guests.
- Do thorough cleaning of wood floors, windows, dust furniture, check for cobwebs, etc.
Clean kitchen, storage area, and office area including refrigerators and freezer.
Know who is in Camp
The caretakers' presence in camp is an important part of the job. Even during "down time" their presence is necessary for safety and security reasons.
- All Members, guests and workers are responsible for checking i nand out with the caretaker.
Patrol grounds and around cabins daily , watch for trespassers, and check signs to be sure they are visible and in good repair.
Manage Lodge Room Reservations and Guest Registration.
- Take reservations for sleeping rooms (see Room Reservation Policy)
Keep accurate records noting the date(s), room number(s), and name(s) of Member and/or guest(s) using the room. For guests, also note the name of the sponsoring Member.
Water System
- At the time of opening for the season, assist Grounds person in charge of water and become familiar with water system.
- Check wells, pumps, tanks and pressure gauges daily.
- Keep water usage logs as instructed.
Maintenance
- Keep the lodge picked up and in good order.
- Keep floors in dining area/great room clean.
- Keep main kitchen clean and orderly.
