Residential Youth Specialist - Mount Vernon, MO
WHY DO WE SHOW EXPIRED LISTINGS?
MBCH Children & Family Ministries is seeking live-in, direct care professionals to provide trauma informed care for youth at our residential foster care campus in Mount Vernon, MO (30 miles west of Springfield, MO).
We have current openings in our Transitional Living Group Home mentoring young adults, and Therapeutic Goup Home for adolescents.
Our Residential Specialists work alternating weeks (7 days on / 7 days off) providing for our clients' needs and imparting life skills in a safe and structured environment which they help to create by modeling Christian values.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Client Supervision
- Communication & Collaboration with team members and others
- Ensure client health & welfare needs are provided for & addressed: manage medical appointments, medications, health concerns, dietary/nutrition
- Ensure client educational & life skills needs are provided for & addressed: helping and guiding with school, job, spending and budgeting money
- Ensure client spiritual needs are provided for & addressed: lead daily devotions, prayer, attend chapel services, etc.
- Administration functions: Documentation, reports, logs, meetings, etc.
Note: The live-in Residential Specialist schedule (7 days on / 7 days off) can work well for those who do not live in the immediate area since the commute would be only once per week.
Compensation and Benefits:
Insurance coverage in the following areas begins on the first day of employment:
• Life Insurance (equaling 3X the annual salary)
• Medical/Health Insurance (for Employee only-$25.00 per month.)
• Dental Insurance
• Disability Insurance
After the six-month assessment period the following benefits begin:
• Employee is eligible for a ½ step merit raise (based on 6-month evaluation/performance appraisal)
• Employee begins accruing sick time (24 hours per year).
• Employee begins retirement program. On a monthly basis, the agency will put the equivalent of 10% of the employee’s monthly salary into the retirement account. (The 10% is not taken out of the salary.) Fully vested after five years of 20% per year schedule.
Other benefits:
• Vacation time, sick time, and holidays are built-in to the regular days off every other week. After 5 years of employment, the employee earns 7 vacation days annually. After 10 years of employment, 14 days are earned annually.
• MCCA Certifications: at six, twelve and eighteen-month intervals, 3 levels of certification (Basic, Senior, Master) can be earned by meeting specific training and work experience requirements. A pay increase of $320/semi-annually can be earned for each level obtained.

Residential Specialist Requirements:
- MBCH Children and Family Ministries is a faith-based Christian organization and the best candidates will share our faith, values, and ministry focus.
- Ability to work the live-in schedule (alternating weeks: 7 days on duty / 7 days off duty)
- High school diploma, bachelor's degree preferred
- Three year related experience highly preferred (residential, direct care, child welfare..)
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have valid Driver's License and willingness to obtain Class E Chauffeur's license within 21 days of employment
- Proven ability to work well within a team environment
- Capacity to perform well in stressful situations
- General computer skills
CAMP HOSTS WANTED - Mesquite, NV

We are looking for one organized and friendly couple or partners to fill our camp host position!
Camp host live on site (we do not supply living quarters so you must own your own RV - may be able to work something out if we find the right candidates) check in customers and oversee certain aspects of the RV Park. Compensation includes pay as well as full-hookup space (power, sewer, tv cable, and water included)
Office person must have computer/office skills, excel, and ability to learn reservation system.
Maintenance person must have basic experience in plumbing, electrical, landscaping/grounds, and RV Park maintenance to be able to assist customers.
We are looking for friendly and customer orientated individuals to work 3 1/2 days a week. We are looking for long term camp hosts to work year round.

The successful candidates will be a married or fully committed couple, semi-retired, physically fit (some light physical labor is involved), self-motivated (the work is unsupervised), with reliable transportation to move with flexibility between our 3 locations (Ballard, Kenmore, Everett), either as a couple or individually as needed. Experience in retail is a big plus, but not required. Computer skills are highly desired, but there is a contracted IT service for the heavy lifting. A desire to deliver extremely excellent customer service is mandatory, so a personable personality is a big plus.

Looking for a mature, reliable, personable and trustworthy couple to be a housekeeping/maintenance team. Some front desk experience would be great or willingness to learn.
39-room hotel/motel. There is also a seasonal 12-unit annex. Full-time, year-round, live-in position(s). Job requires a self-motivated couple with energy, ability to multi-task and willingness/personality to interact with guests and staff. One person should have good maintenance skills while the other should have housekeeping and/or front desk experience.
Candidate(s) must be customer orientated, self-motivated, and able to multi-task. Ability to bend, lift and work standing for most of your shift.
A valid driver’s license is required for at least one person of the couple.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Maintenance inside and outside.
Routine/preventive maintenance of hotel(s) and outbuildings
Lawn Care
Some snow removal/snowblowing in the winter
Cleaning guest rooms, hallways, common areas, etc. as required
Quality Control check

The lodging industry does not conform to the typical 8-5, Monday-Friday schedule; however, you will have a schedule and time off in this support role. Although you won’t have access to the conveniences of shopping malls, movie theaters and other city services, the city of Duluth is only 2 hours away. You will be near the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, the Gunflint Trail, Isle Royale and many State Parks. Great scenery and vacation activities abound near Grand Marais, like boating, fishing, hunting, hiking, camping, golf, tennis, biking, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, cross country and downhill skiing.
Compensation package includes salary, a non-smoking 2-bedroom apartment with all utilities paid including cable and wifi. This could turn into a Property Management Team position for the right candidates if desired.
