Duties include, but are not limited to:
- clean cottages and follow checklist to ensure that it is cleaned properly and ready for next occupant
- maintain a clean and well-stocked supply caddy
- launder dirty linens
- report any maintenance problems and/or safety hazards to Facilities Manager
- ensure personal appearance is clean and professional
- make guests feel welcome and appreciated
- move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 20 pounds without assistance
- ensure laundry facility is kept clean and well-stocked
- perform other reasonable job duties as requested
- must be detail-oriented, a team player, and communicate well with others
Must have self-contained RV (50 amp or converter). RV space includes trash, recycling, Wi-Fi, water, and sewage. You are responsible for propane.
Work week depends on reservation check-ins and check-outs.
Paid position starts at $16/hour + tips.

Live on-site Caretakers wanted for MHP in Beautiful Merritt, BC!

Mobile Home & RV Park in beautiful Merritt BC is looking for a live on-site caretaker (couple preferred) for a 100+ unit mobile home park. Over the last 30 years, we strive to maintain good relations with our residents and to provide a clean, well-maintained property.
We are looking for self-motivated couple to live on-site that can act as the on-site contact for our residents. This couple would consist of a handyman that can provide solutions for various jobs including basic plumbing and construction repairs, garbage maintenance, landscaping, snowplowing, tractor operations, etc.
The caretakers will also be responsible for the overall upkeep of the property, tenant relations (not rent collection), with seasonal work such as lawn care and playground maintenance in the summer, and occasional snow plowing every other winter. This is a physical job - you must be able to use all hand tools, small machinery competently and safely.
Caretaker is welcomed to have other full-time/part-time jobs. Rental pad or mobile home for purchase is available for caretaker.
Candidate should have a smartphone to take photos, notes, and log work orders into management software supplied by landlord. Photos and videos of work to be done and work completed is expected since you'll be working independently. Caretaker may also assist with showing vacant pads and park owned homes to prospects, checking on daily RV licensees during the summer while managing multiple priorities.
About You:
- Should be energetic, self-motivated with strong customer service capabilities and attention to detail. Prior experience managing a mobile home park is an asset but we are willing to provide training for the right candidate.
- The caretaker is one of the public faces of Diamond Vale for the residents and public; the successful candidate must be good natured, pleasant in daily interactions and have strong communication skills.
- Previous farming, contracting, or ranching background preferred but not required.
Tasks & Duties:
- Prepares an overall annual landscape maintenance schedule.
- Manages outside landscape maintenance contractors where necessary or performs the maintenance work personally when appropriate.
- Ability to safely operate small tractors in close spaces under a mobile home or service area.
- Able to complete preventative maintenance on small tractors
- Remove litter from grounds, empty waste receptacles and clean lids
- Performs routine sprinkler maintenance and repair
- Oversees the routine maintenance, inventory and quality of any equipment necessary to perform the work.
- Cleaning public/semi private washrooms
- Minor plumbing repairs - clogged toilets, leaking fixtures etc.
- Maintains and/or repairs fencing and/or other hardscape where appropriate.
- Performs seasonal duties such as installing holiday lights and snow removal and salting when required.
- Other projects and duties as required
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Knowledge of trades related to grounds maintenance and repair.
- Knowledge of machinery, equipment, and tools necessary for the maintenance and repair of public grounds, landscaping, sprinkler systems, pumps, water features.
- Knowledge of Occupational hazards and safety precautions.
- Skills in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
- Skill in using hand and power tools.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and the public.
Education & Experience:
High School diploma or GED and two (2) years grounds maintenance experience, or maintenance or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

As a Concrete Foreman, you will work with all different types of people including crew members, maintenance crews, subcontractors, and customers. The Construction Foreman will encounter all different types of tasks, including but not limited to: managing 3-4 Construction Laborers, oversee concrete assignments that will include: scale deck repairs, electrical, trenching for conduit, maintenance of all CAT Scale equipment and tools.
Employees must reside within a two-hour radius of headquarters located in Walcott, Iowa.
Job Functions:
- Supervise, train and coordinate job duties and delegate tasks to Laborers and Subcontractors
- Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew
- Allocate daily responsibilities and ensure manpower and resources are adequate
- Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are followed
- Supervise the use of machinery and equipment
- Resolve problems as they arise
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine what kind of maintenance is needed
- Create and maintain positive working relationships
- Maintain and submit accurate paperwork (timecards, logbooks and receipts) while on the road
Requirements
- Must have excellent de-escalation skills
- Proficient in basic math
- Must be accountable, proactive and detail oriented!
- Ability to communicate and work with all types of people
- Ability to lift and move 50 to 75 pounds regularly
- Must be able to stand, kneel and bend over for long periods
- Work outside during all types of weather and under time constraints

- Experience in the construction industry with equipment operation history is a plus!

We are searching for two (2) experienced host team (couples or singles) for the 2023 season who are willing to commit to 40 hours a week (each) with occasional overtime to assist the owners in the operation of this Campground/ RV Park. We desire workers who are seeking an Alaskan adventure and who have an entrepreneurial spirit. In particular workers with “front” office experience who excel at customer service; who interact with the public in a professional manner and who are well organized with a positive attitude are our criteria.
The “back” office duties include light maintenance such as minor carpentry, painting, and electrical, plumbing and emergency repairs. This also entails performing the daily housekeeping of the restrooms; shower house; cabins; and grounds clean-up. Also assisting in the seasonal opening and closing of the facilities.
We also hold a “Dessert Night” which is a highlight of our Campground/RV Park and is held every MWF from June through August. We do have a host for that but ask for your help in case it is needed. We usually make a “grab and go” cookie/dessert bar.
