WHY DO WE SHOW EXPIRED LISTINGS?
We are looking for an experienced innkeeper or two person team to manage an inn/B&B near downtown Napa. Food and Beverage background (Cook experience) is a plus and being handy for light maintenance is a plus. At a minimum, identification of maintenance issues on property is required for one of the individuals. A successful candidate will manage all aspects of running a Bed &Breakfast hotel including:
• Managing staff, contractors, vendors & international guests
• Booking rooms, answering phones, and email correspondence
• Managing booking software on multiple platforms, dealing with 3rd party booking channels
• From time to time, ability to schedule wine tastings, dinner reservations, etc.
- From time to time, being able to get certain items from the grocery store for breakfast needs.
• Prepping hotel rooms, greeting and checking guests in/out; tending to their needs during stay
• Preparing & serving breakfast. Managing weekly menus, scheduling kitchen help, purchasing food and all hotel supplies
• Hiring, invoicing, cash and credit card transactions, analytics, running reports
• Room Rate Management on a daily, weekly, monthly basis, look ahead to help fill in gaps in booking calendar.
• Watching labor hours weekly for all staff
• Maintaining interior and exterior common areas
• Maintaining review responses and a high level of service.
In addition being committed to continuously familiarizing themselves with the local community and events to share with guests is required. FEATURED JOB OPENING: Seeking couple to manage a quiet, wooded, newly constructed home. The property has a private home for the caretakers. - Woodside, CA
WHY DO WE SHOW EXPIRED LISTINGS?
The couple will be responsible for maintaining a newly constructed 8-acre property in the San Francisco Peninsula foothills with an expansive view of the hills. The residence is usually occupied by the owner and his girlfriend. His ex-wife is temporarily staying in the guest house, and their kids sometimes visit. The property includes a main house, guest house, caretaker home, tennis court and cabana, swimming pool and cabana, life-sized chess court, and two stand-alone garages.
The caretakers will work on demand for 5 to 6 days per week, but not to exceed 40 hours per week per person. They will personally tend to the following duties, and hire/manage additional people on behalf of the family as necessary to ensure everything is in order: daily cleaning of the home and occasionally the guest house, deep cleaning of the home and guest house as needed, landscape maintenance, gardening, home repair, keeping the cars clean, driving, shopping (for farm fresh ingredients whenever possible), cooking, serving at occasional parties, meetings or fundraisers, pet care (cleaning, feeding, walking), tennis court maintenance, pool maintenance, security, receiving, and home improvement projects.
The property is in a quiet, wooded area near beautiful state parks with ample hiking paths and horse trails. Woodside is a charming, rural town that dates back to the 1850's, located about 30 minutes from San Francisco, 30 minutes from the Pacific Ocean, 10 minutes from Stanford University, 25 minutes from both San Franciso Airport and San Jose Airport, and 90 minutes from both Carmel and Napa Valley. The weather is mostly sunny and pleasant, with average high temperatures of 74 degrees, plus or minus 13 degrees depending upon the month.
The property has a securlar, progressive owner who values kindness, nature, health, science and music. He aims to treat everyone with fairness, respect and good cheer. The caretakers should be positive, organized, flexbile, and interested in a long term position.
Minimum qualifications: At least one person with
- A clean driving record
- Experience with cats, love of animals (pets welcome)
- Property repair experience
- Professional cooking experience
- Domestic cleaning experience
- High school diploma
Valued credentials (but not necessary):
- Strong English language, spoken and written
- Conversational Spanish
- CPR training
- Comfort with technology
- Electrical, carpentry and plumbing expertise
- Security/police/military experience
- Musical performance skills
- Interest in accompanying owner on trips to Hawaii

- Preparing lien files prior to the online auction
- After the auction, set up appointments with winning bidders and assist with collecting payments and vacating the unit properly
- Monitor and accurately control the cash drawer and log on a daily basis
- Merchandise counts monthly
- Banking done as needed
- Safety conscious and adhere to company policy when documenting an incident
- Golf cart checks and truck rental inspections are done as needed
- Landscaping and any other work done by outside vendors is closely monitored and documented
- Provide quality customer service and help with any other assigned tasks that may come up around the property
