Discovery Bay Ranch is home of MAS ASS ACRES SANCTUARY, a 501(c)3, is a donkey and mule sanctuary in Washington State on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula. 

We are seeking full-time, long-term, mature Caretaker/Manager/Working couple with no children with a passion for animals and 3-5 years of equine experience and knowledge.  Currently, we have 21 donkeys, all sizes, 3 mules and 1 Texas Longhorn steer.  All are geriatric and most take medication and need special attention, especially hoof care.

Additional duties and responsibilities to include but not limited to: security, care and maintenance of private estate, maintenance of entire property, mowing grounds, clearing fallen trees, pasture management, fence repair, barns, shop and buildings repair and operation and maintenance of equipment.

As in all farm jobs, this is not a normal 8:00-5:00 job, it is a lifestyle.  With all animal jobs, the unexpected always happens and more time might be required.  Our main priority is the welfare and loving care of the animals.  Daily Duties: feeding, cleaning, doctoring, grooming/clipping, hoof care, worming, vaccinating, keeping track of hay, feed and supplies, reordering, maintaining health records, scheduling and assisting with farrier and vet appointments.   Additional beneficial skills: vet tech or vet assistant, accounting, carpentry, mechanic skills, welding, landscaping and yard maintenance.  On-site home, newly remodeled with 2 bd and 2 bath on approximately 8 acres.  Medical insurance is provided.  On-the-job vehicle provided, must have clean driving record.  One week paid vacation after one year and federal holidays are recognized. Salary DOE, non-smoker, no drugs, no physical limitations, must be able to lift 75 lbs.  Background and credit checks are required.  

FEATURED JOB OPENING: Storage Property Resident Managers - Tarpon Springs, FL

We are looking for a friendly professional couple with at least 2 years of experience.

The most successful management couples are extremely effective in the sales and marketing area.Both the managers should be very comfortable on the telephone, as phone sales play a huge role in the success of the property. While both managers need to be familiar with the entire scope of operations, typically one of the managers would focus on the sales/marketing/customer service aspects, while the other would focus more on the property maintenance/cleaning aspects. Both must learn and be comfortable using the storage and Uhaul software.

We are looking for a couple who could start around June or July 2023.

The hours of operation for the facility are Monday - Friday 9:00a.m.- 6:00p.m.Saturday & Sunday 9am- 3pm.

You will have 2 days off a week.

Responsibilities include:

Showing units and preparing leases. Provide outstanding customer service in person and via telephone. Making bank deposits, purchasing supplies and services as needed. Maintaining a working knowledge of all products and services. Maintaining financial reports, bookkeeping, & filing systems.Completing collection activities and marketing your property via in person, social media, or mailing, and local Chamber events. Renting & returning of Uhauls and maintaing the cleanliness of the trucks.

Keeping the property clean and in good repair at all times.

Job Requirements:

Able to walk & lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Sales and customer service experience.

Background in property management, office/administrative, hospitality or retail.

Familiar with Microsoft word, excel, & outlook. Familiar with Windows 10.

Valid drivers' license required and you must own your own vehicle. Clean background and drug test.

Must Live On Site -- Very nice 2-bedroom apartment. We are looking for a couple that is interested in a long term position.
