Bearskin Lodge on the Gunflint Trail is a beautiful, high-end wilderness resort on the edge of the famous Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. We are 26 miles from the nearest small town, surrounded by the Superior National Forest and BWCA. Your home will be a small cabin on shore of East Bearskin Lake, entry point #64. You'll see moose, bears, foxes and other wildlife on a regular basis. Hiking, canoeing, fishing, boating and in the winter, cross-country skiing are right outside your door.

Our Resort Couple job (couple = any two people who will share the house and fill the jobs) has introduced so many outstanding couples into our Grand Marais community. Both people in the couple will need to learn every job on the resort, but usually one person does more outside grounds-keeping tasks and maintenance, and the other excels at housekeeping and guest services. There are 7-9 other employees, but we expect the Resort Couple to be a model for employee excellence for everyone and to demontrate leadership and a positive attitude.  

Full-time, all year employment, plus benefits after employees become permanent. We're looking for responsible, independent, self-starters with integrity, good guest interaction skills, a healthy lifestyle, and a good work ethic. In return, you get the opportunity to live in a lakeside house or apartment on the edge of the BWCA Wilderness, a living situation that's hard to come by. We pay an hourly wage starting at $15+, give regular raises and frequent bonuses based on performance and longevity, provide regular work hours (ending by 6 PM), and pay overtime for more than 40 hours.

All jobs at Bearskin are physically very, very active. There is often a great deal of moving and lifting, so applicants need to enjoy a good workout as part of their daily job. Most of our employees are in the 22-35 age range and are avid hikers, bikers, runners, and skiers. All jobs at Bearskin require a driver's license. We no longer allow dogs, but our employees frequently have cats, bunnies, birds, or fish.

We are especially interested in employees who can teach some of our naturalist and craft classes in the summer.  We have a wonderful program, but it's a challenge to find new options to offer each year. New skills welcome!  We also support artists and photographers in their work, and allow you to sell appropriate items in our gift shop with no commission.

Dog Boarding Kennel Couple

We have a luxury dog boarding facility North of Houston. We are in the process of selling our business but the new owners are looking for a management couple. It is a large home set on 3.5 acres in a great area. 

Live-In Managers - Sparta, TN

We are located in Sparta, TN right by Center Hill Lake and Burgess Falls State Park.  Our resort includes 27 full hook-up RV sites and a General Store/Restaraunt. We are seeking a Husband and Wife team to live on site in a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom home provided by the property.

Experience at RV parks, mobile home parks, retail and restaurants are preferred.  Must have experience managing employees, leading teams. The Managers will focus on the customer experience and work closely with the owner to add value to the park and drive new revenue streams.

Working knowledge of computer campground reservation systems mandatory. Besides excellent customer service skills, must be very well organized, work well with people, and have good communication skills.  Managers will handle all applicant paperwork and verify suitability of extended stay guests.  

Managers will be responsible for operating the general store/restaurant. Managers will interface with contractors, vendors, and local businesses. Managers must have general knowledge in retail store, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and general day-to-day operations of the RV resort. 

Must be a self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision, and provide weekly updates to the owner.  Compensation will depend on experience and performance.

House Parents - Raleigh, NC

Christian Life Home serves young women during and after unplanned pregnancies, providing housing, food, health care assistance, counseling, and life skills training in a Christian family environment.  Services include a non-residential program, maternity home, mother/baby home, and independent living program.  We also serve as a model to similar ministries providing training and consultation services. 

Christian Life Home is seeking a married Christian couple to serve full time as house parents in a Christian, family style mother/baby home.  It is a full time position for both husband and wife; it is suited more for a couple aged mid-20s to mid-30s or empty nesters, but does not automatically exclude couples in other circumstances that wish to seek more information.

Compensation is around 75k per year, including a salary range of 35-40K per year, housing, utilities, food, and HSA health insurance plan. The housing apartment is a two bedroom, one bathroom, plus kitchen and small living area. Position requires ability to serve others in ministry through hospitality, ability to live/work together in community, work under supervision of director, plus basic discipleship, communication and problem solving skills.
