Volunteer Check Station Operator(s) - Saint Cloud, FL

FWC is currently seeking a volunteer or volunteer couple to work at the Herky Huffman/ Bull Creek Wildlife Management Area check station in Saint Cloud, Florida for the 2023-2024 hunting season, which runs from mid-September 2023 – April 2024. Hunting season includes weekends and some holidays. Work involves checking hunters in and out of the wildlife management area (WMA), collecting biological data from harvested game animals (all training provided), removing jawbones from harvested deer, and general groundskeeping of the check station area. The required work is generally 32 hours per week, either two 16-hour shifts, or split between several days.
Volunteers work in exchange for FHU including water, electric, and septic. The WMA is in a remote location, approximately 30 minutes from a substantial town, and cell phone service can be spotty depending on the provider. No internet is provided, but volunteers are welcome to have it installed at their own expense.
Preference will be given to volunteers who wish to work the entire hunting season, but there may also be an opportunity to have volunteers work a few months at a time, as long as the entire time slot is filled.

We live, work, play, and pray together to create Winds of Change in their lives; we are looking for mature single males or married couples who are adventurous, teachable, not easily offended, with good communication and conflict resolution skills willing to model healthy relationships of forgiveness, restoration and not holding a grudge. Can you provide tough love, balanced with building discipline and accountability, while staying in relationship with those around you.
We are looking for folks 21 and older who can pass a background check with no felonies, who can do 3.5 days on and 3.5 days off or day shifts, have a 4x4 vehicle, creative housing can be arranged, 5th wheels welcome, working May through November, or year around welcome
Maintenance/Front Office - Jackson, WY
WHY DO WE SHOW EXPIRED LISTINGS?
We are looking for a cheerful, sociable, mature couple where they will be the first people our guests meet. Must be clean cut, socially outgoing, trustworthy and honest. One person is usually the "meeter and greeter", showing guests to their cabins, making sure all forms and releases have been properly filled (basic computer skills necessary), showing prospective guests around and operating the gift shop. The other person is a maintenance person and should be competent in repairs of things like washers, dryers, hot water heaters, and septic. We rely heavily on minor repairs to be done on site without bringing in professionals from town. Duties also include lots of caring for flowers, hanging baskets, window boxes and pitching in wherever they are needed. Finish off the day having cocktails and hors d'oeuvres with the guests and making sure everyone is enjoying their stay.

Must be able to work until August 17, 2023.
Salary is $5,000 per month for the couple/$2,500 each, plus tips and bonus based on performance. Private housing and all meals provided. No Pets.

Guest Services
• Guest Services team members are responsible for guest registration, front desk, escorting, firewood sales, store sales, and all guest-facing relations.
• Provide superior guest service in person and over the telephone by being enthusiastic, attentive, friendly and helpful.
• Greet all guests with a positive attitude and a well-groomed appearance, a smile, recognition and a proper uniform and name tag.
• Handle all guest issues with respect by listening and acknowledging their concerns.
• Follow all guidelines and procedures regarding the handling of registrations, reservations, store sales, and refunds.
Maintenance/Security
• Perform basic carpentry, electrical/plumbing repairs, painting, staining, power washing, and maintenance to campground buildings, facilities, equipment and grounds as directed by the Campground Manager.
• Implement daily, weekly and monthly maintenance and cleaning programs as instituted by the Campground Manager, including lawn mowing, weed eating, landscaping, garbage pick-up, propane pumping, and various other campground equipment upkeep.
• Ensure all guests and team members are provided with a safe environment.
• Secure campground and guests by walking property and taking emergency calls (split with workers).
•Maintain gate guard, ensure road policies are being followed, no unregistered guests to be allowed in the park.
Housekeeping
• Perform the daily, weekly and monthly cleaning programs for specific buildings and facilities.
• Use appropriate cleaning chemicals on appropriate items and only as trained
