Seeking a couple to become resident managers for a family owned 500+ unit storage facility.  2 bedroom apartment with paid utilities provided.

Duties and responsibilities 

Manage rental office 4 days a week from 7:30am to 8:30pm.​​​​​​​

• Process payments
• Answer phone for inquiries and payments
• Assist walk-in customers with inquiries and rentals
• Complete rental agreements
• Process daily mail
• Keep office clean and organized
• Daily red lock management for tenants payng late
• Compile daily end of the day deposit and report
• General light mainenance as needed
• Lawn mowing and snow removal in cooperation with other co-worker
• Limited ladder work with alarms and lights
• Vacate units as tenants move out- sweeping, spraying and trash out as needed

Valid drivers license required.  All buildings (including aparment) and company vehicles are non-smoking.

Wages will be discussed with and set by the busines owner.

Monthly bonus based on revenue.

Private 2 bedroom apartment with appliances provided.

House Parent Couple (Family) - Benson, AZ

Who we are:

• A non-profit ministry to children in Southeastern Arizona.
• We were incorporated in 1999 and licensed by the state of Arizona to care for children beginning in 2011. 
• We have approximately 90 acres, 3 homes for children as well as an office, barn, maintenance building, community building, food storage and other storage buildings.
• We are a Christian ministry supported in part by several local churches but not linked to any one church.
• Our mission statement reads:  To provide a refuge, in a traditional family setting with Christian values on a ranch for abused and neglected children who need long-term care.

• A well-established couple (family) who love children and want to share the love of Christ with them.
• You’ve prayed and believe God is calling you to serve Him in a ministry to children.
• As a couple you have the life experience and temperament to be good role models to children and adolescents.  Our children come from less-than-ideal homes and positive role models play a vital role in the betterment of their lives.
• Together you have the organizational skills and know-how to balance a home and schedules of children.  Good communication with your spouse and with others sets the example and tone for the home.
• At least one of you don’t mind paperwork and rules mandated by the state.  Not fun but a necessary component to keep things running smoothly.
• You enjoy relationships with others and take pleasure in supporting one another through prayer and encouragement.  Our team become like family while serving the Lord in this place.
• You have the ability (through the Holy Spirit) to see beyond a child’s actions to see the pain or trauma which may be the cause of the behaviors and the patience to love them through it all and capable of using a loving approach to provide boundaries for children who have none.

A typical day as a couple may include:

• Waking the children, overseeing morning hygiene and chores, preparing breakfast, leading morning devotions, taking children to school while listening to their hopes for the day.
• Housecleaning, outside chores, paperwork, lunch out with your spouse or just quiet time while the children are at school
• Weekly staff meetings are a time for prayer, encouragement, support and brainstorming of ideas in addition to training to better understand and serve the children in our care.
• Scheduling and taking children to medical and dental appointments to address any issues they may have and attending monthly meetings with the family team.
• Picking children up from school and hearing their exited voices share their stories of their day during snack and homework time.
• Afternoons are for team sports practice or games where you can cheer them on in a way every child deserves OR playing games on the grass or the playground to release excess energy from the day while sharing their laughter and joy at being children.
• Praying with the children regarding their worries or concerns and providing guidance and assistance when possible.
• Preparing and sharing dinner as a family sharing highlights of the day and imparting the Love of God while increasing the family bond.
• After dinner time is for family clean up and evening chores, making plans for weekend fun (pool, picnics, zoo, fishing, etc)
• Bedtimes are a special bonding time with stories and prayers.

The location is ideal for a fitness couple looking for chilled vibes and to embrace the slow island life in a tropical beachside location. Kalpitiya is a mecca for kitesurfers and so if you wish to learn or already a lover of the sport, this really is a paradise spot for you.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a proactive, positive and enthusiastic couple to take over the overall running of the business including but not limited to managing bookings, social media, customer service, daily costings and purchasing, repairs and maintenance, and staff. People who are willing to get their hands dirty (not in the kitchen of course!) and always look to new ideas, whether training the local staff to develop their hospitality skills, engaging social media campaigns, promotion of the gym to guests in the area, taking gym clients for guided bicycle or kayak trips etc. 

Due to the laidback lifestyle in Kalpitiya, we need a couple who are self-motivators, hardworking and enjoy the slow life as it can be extremely chilled on the beach here! 

Daily tasks might include:

• Customer service - assist our guests ensuring their experience with us is on brand whether in the cafe, gym or coworking space. Booking airport transfers, welcoming the guest on arrival, join for meals, help arrange trips and additional activities, schedule their programmes, track classes etc. 
• Own the schedule - arrange activities i.e. movie nights, workshops, excursions etc., book massages, PT etc. 
• Help with cost recording, specials board and budgeting in the cafe
• Staff Management - training, management, supervision (4 staff members)
• Day to day accounts management and book keeping
• Assisting in the cafe when busy including making smoothies, juices and coffees
• Reporting to the owner of the business
• Manage bookings (shared with Director)
• Social media posts and stories - or manage volunteer to do this
• Working closely with our accommodation partners to ensure the best experience for our customers
• Ensure the space is well maintained, clean and safe
• If qualified: 
  • Personal Training sessions (not essential but preferred)
  • Assist in group gym classes
  • Take goal setting and habit setting workshops

In exchange we will provide accommodation with private room, free access to the gym and a basic salary to cover food and simple living expenses. 50% commission is offered on all personal training sessions and gym classes. 50% discount on the food in the cafe.

Hours are normally 6 hours a day, 6 days a week (although this is flexible due to low seasons and high season). You will acrue 1.25 days of holiday per month of employment. We may ask that your days off are seperate to ensure we have enough cover in the cafe and gym, but this is not set in stone.

The café and gym are very chill and so you will not be rushed off your feet all the time. Plenty of down time to go for swims, chat, read, chill, kitesurf or do your own training in the gym.

We are still a relatively new business operating in a developing country, so I have my hands tied somewhat regarding salary. I guess what we lack in financials we can give in paradise and a lowcost, easy, beach living! You will be able to save each month (depending on how much you spend in the bar...) plus have the chance to grow with us. After 12 months, we will discuss share options in the business as well as bonus schemes. 

You will be reporting to the business owner who's main responsibility is the marketing of the business and overseeing its general direction. 

We need people who can commit to 12 months starting ideally June 2023, including a 6 months trial period.
