Maintenance Technician

We are seeking an experienced property maintenance technician to work at one of our residential rental properties in Girdwood, AK.

Under the direction of the Community Manager, the position is responsible for the overall day-to-day and preventative maintenance of the Apartment Community. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.

Expected Responsibilities to Include:

• Performing light maintenance on all appliances
• Performing light electrical repairs, plumbing work, and carpentry work
• Performing custodial work and grounds work
• Refurbishing of apartments prior to resident occupancy
• Keeping accurate records regarding preventative maintenance, work orders, refurbishing, annual inspections, and inventories
• Interaction with residents
• Assist with  annual unit inspections to ensure compliance with LIHTC, and HUD Standards
• Other duties as assigned

Expected Qualifications to Include:

• High school education or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education & repair experience
• Training in some or all of these areas a plus: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, refurbishing, cleaning, a/c, & appliances
• Ability to read and interpret documents, math ability, customer service and reasoning ability

• Conduct daily arrear collections - which include door knocks
• Completion of tenant certifications for LIHTC compliance
• Preparation and implementation of maintenance plans
• Contract administration and vendor management

• 3-5 years experience in an onsite property management office

Storage West self storage (storagewest.com) has an immediate opening for a resident manager TEAM for Ann Road facility.

We are seeking a 2 person team, wherein each person will work 40 hours per week. Each member of the team must submit a resume in order for the team to be considered for this position. Both members of the team must have relevant experience and be available for in-person interviews in Las Vegas.

The resident managers will share an on site apartment (provided).

Resident manager teams are responsible for the operation of the facility, including providing outstanding customer service, renting storage spaces, marketing our facility to the community, data entry, filing, answering and responding to telephone calls, banking, and keeping the facility maintained, neat, clean, and organized. Reliable transportation and a good driving record is required.

Experience working in the self storage industry or property management is a plus. Prior customer service and management experience is required. Cascadia seeks a two-person manager/maintenance team to work and reside at Midland Commons located in SE Portland. The schedule for this position consists of 10 office hours and 20 hours of cleaning and maintenance responsibilities per week.

The Apartment Manager will live on-site in a large, two bedroom, 919sq. ft., one bathroom apartment. The apartment complex is an independent living site for persons diagnosed with a severe and persistent mental illness. Rent will be provided, basic utilities will be covered (i.e. water, sewer, gas) and the incumbent will be paid an hourly wage.

The Apartment Manager will be responsible for:

• collecting and depositing rents
• keeping deadlines
• grounds keeping
• cleaning

• apartment inspections
• helping tenants with paperwork

• tending to tenant issues

Requirements:

This position requires that the incumbent must have:
