Maintenance Candidate must be organized and able to estimate and schedule work. Critical to your role is that you have strong communication skills and and a professional manner with team members, management and residents. 

The range of work includes but is not limited to troubleshooting and performing repairs, replacement and installation and must have a minimum of Five (5) years Hands-On Experience with and have knowledge of the following in order to perform repairs to plumbing, drywall, light electrical as well as painting and pool care.

Repair/replace garbage disposals, repair/replace drywall, install/repair ceiling fans, replace p traps, replace supply lines, install sinks, repair/install faucets, install appliances, repair toilets, install wax rings, apply epoxy to shower pans or install shower: shower pans/plastic shower walls, repair/replace door locks, re-key locks, install doors/thresholds, perform touch up paint or full paint as needed, caulk, patch roof as needed, respond to emergency calls.

Caretaker Couple for Remote Lodge in Alaskan Wilderness - Rainy Pass Lodge, AK

Rainy Pass Lodge is looking for a permanent caretaker couple. The position will generally run from the months of August through May with two months off in the summer. The caretaking tasks include reporting the weather 5-7 times a day for the FAA (must pass a weather test and become certified), feeding the horses each morning (currently have 16 horses), generator maintenance, fuel transfer, building upkeep, maintenance and improvements as needed (we have about 10 log cabins on the property), cooking, housekeeping and attending to guests as needed.

The lodge atmosphere changes quite a bit throughout the year; August and September is our hunting season, October – January is very quiet with minimal guests and activity, February – April is busy again with Iditarod, Iron Dog, Ultra Sport, firewood cutting and out-camp stocking, May is quiet again as planes are not able to come and go during spring break-up.

Rainy Pass Lodge is the oldest hunting lodge in Alaska and is located 125 air miles West Northwest of Anchorage, It is a fly in only lodge. Rainy Pass is a non-smoking facility. It is near impossible to list all the tasks that may arise as it’s like maintaining your own ranch out here and you have to be able to improvise until supply planes arrive. You kind of have to be a jack of all trades. We are looking for a couple that is hard working, trustworthy, friendly, personable, and familiar with skills in mechanics, cooking, attention to detail in cleaning/organizing and has basic common sense. This lifestyle is not for everyone but there are definitely perks.

Resident Property Management Couple for a large, all age, manufactured housing community in the Boise, Idaho metropolitan area.  The positions require a self motivated full time two person team with good problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach incorporated with great customer service capabilities. Job Responsibilities:

Administrative skill set: Good basic computer skills are necessary for use with Microsoft Word, Excel, email and Internet use. Applicants must have a professional appearance and the ability to interact calmly and professionally with our clientele. Duties include collection of rents, maintaining occupancy levels, documentation for resident files, showing vacant community-owned homes and spaces, processing and screening of applicants for residency in the community and enforcement of community standards. Daily interaction with residents, including conflict resolution abilities, are necessary.

Maintenance skill set: Hands on general maintenance abilities, supervisory capabilities and the ability to meet timelines and schedules. Some, but not all, tasks are general maintenance of common areas, rule enforcement, site inspections, reading of water meters, subcontractor approval and supervision and the ability to interact professionally with residents.  Ability to renovate community-owned homes a plus.

Couple or individual Housekeeper and/or Driver/Gardener - Repton (Staffordshire/Derbyshire border) UK

A couple is required near Repton (Derbyshire/Staffordshire border) to work for a lovely, informal family. The Family are relocating and will need a housekeeper and driver/gardener for their new home. The family have four children aged 13yrs, 12yrs, 9yrs and 7yrs and 3 dogs, therefore you must be child and pet friendly. 30 hours will be required per week for the housekeeping role, Monday to Friday. The hours can be worked across four or five days per week to suit the successful applicant’s requirements. You will be responsible for weekly cleaning, laundry, ironing and general housekeeping duties.  Occasional childcare and house-sitting may also be required. You must also be a driver. The driver/chauffer/gardener post requires 39 per week to be worked on a flexible basis primarily Monday to Friday, however occasional weekend cover may be required. When no driving is required you will be responsible for gardening and home maintenance duties.  An exemplary driving record and relevant experience is essential.
