We are seeking a Superintendent Team of 2 who is energetic, detail oriented and hard-working! If you like to clean, solve maintenance issues and are interested in helping people, please apply with your partner today.
You and your partner will work in the building and live together in an apartment on site (we do not match people together; we recommend you apply with a partner who you already live with and know well). If you are organized, love to clean, skilled in maintenance/repairs, and thrive on providing excellent customer service, please read on.
You will be the "face" of Homestead and the go-to people for our tenants in the building. The professionalism and service provided by our teams is of huge importance to our customers and to the company.
You will need to submit one resume for each person in order to be considered for this role. A joined resume is acceptable for those who have worked together before.
Typical duties include:
-Conduct themselves in a friendly and professional manner at all times.
-Receive and promptly address residents' concerns.
-Show vacant apartments to prospective residents.
-Carry out various administrative duties/paperwork - serve correspondence, collect rent etc.
-Follow a duty schedule ensuring cleanliness of building.
-Follow an "on-call" schedule on specified evenings and weekends.
-Maintain grounds in tidy "debris-free" condition.
-Facilitate work orders and perform minor maintenance.
-Monitor activity throughout the building, ensuring residents and their guests adhere to Homestead's policies.
-Maintain fire safety logs.
-Respond appropriately and professionally to events and/or issues that occur at their worksite (with the support and direction of their Property Manager as required).
-Maintain exterior walkways in safe condition during winter conditions.

Summer Caretakers for off-grid ranch near beautiful beach in Mexico - near Puerto Vallarta Mexico, ME

Seeking caretaker(s) for off-grid ranch, a short walk from a spectacular, unspoiled beach on the pacific coast of Mexico. Rustic but comfortable house, garden & internet. Incredible views, swimming, fishing, etc. Welcoming, rural, mexican community plus travelers. Housing + internet in exchange for 4-5 hours per day maintenance, animal care & yard work. mid-May through early October.
Candidate(s) must have intermediate or higher spanish, be very comfortable in nature, and be interested in exploring a sustainable, off-grid lifestyle. Experience with goats, chickens, horses, solar electric, water systems, and personnel management all a plus. References required. $250 U.S./mo. stipend + some income potential.
We are looking for someone to take care for our many animal friends (15 goats, 3 horses, 60+ chickens, 2 burros, 1 dog), keep the place clean, monitor and maintain off-grid solar systems, basic yard care communicate with us weekly, and be good liaisons to our mexican neighbors who have welcomed us into their community so graciously.
Summer is our off season and the pace slows to the rhythms of nature. That said, farm animals need to be let out shortly after sunrise to forage, and put away each evening. Pens need to be cleaned, etc. We have one friendly, reliable, full time ranch hand to help handle any situations that come up. We will also be back for most of July during which time Caretaker is free to stay on and work 4hrs./day for the continued stipend, or leave to take a break and travel. Summers range from cool and comfortable (low 80’s day) to hot & sticky (mid 90’s day), depending on the rains. Many people consider it their favorite time, despite the heat.
The beach provides spectacular swimming, fishing, sunsets, etc., and the ranch comes to life in a riot of tropical abundance. This does include all manner of insects, reptiles, etc., so the candidate(s) must be someone truly comfortable in nature!
Caretaker is welcome to use the garden, eggs, and whatever fruits are in season (bananas, papayas, coconuts, etc.) to supplement. There is also a fruit and veg truck that comes to the property 2x/wk, + a fishing village a short walk away for buying seafood. The local village has taco stands and basic foods. Use of quad bike included. Internet use is limited 1 gig monthly. Some income possible from eggs sales and occasional camping fees.
Caretakers needed for private home in beautiful SW Oregon - Roseburg, OR

Caretaker/workers needed to care for private home in beautiful southwestern Oregon, in exchange for RV site with water, electricity, sewer and small storage building provided. Ideally we would like a couple who could live on-site year round but would consider summers only for the right person or couple. The person or couple we select to fill this position would be expected to perform approximately 40 hours of light-landscaping per month during summer months and less during the winter. Duties include weeding, mowing, watering, caring for koi pond, feeding our 2 outdoor cats, etc. There is a phone line to the RV site for phone/wifi but would be the caretakers responsibility if they chose to have it connected. The RV site is in a quiet valley on 3-acres in beautiful Roseburg, Oregon at the end of a private road overlooking an old orchard with deer outside your door. Compensation is a 40’ RV site with paid utilities consisting of water, sewer and electric, plus a storage/office building behind a fenced in site. In exchange for 25 hours of work each week. This is a privately operated facility, well established, with great clientele.
