Live-In Property Caretaker Couple Wanted ASAP in beautiful - Santa Fe, NM

We are in search for a couple to live-in long-term and help manage a beautiful estate in Tesuque, NM. The family has a full-time estate manager who is on duty from 8am-4pm M-F, the couple will need to help in the “off-duty hours” of the EM after 4pm M-F and on weekends. The hours to start are 40/week split between the couple. The couple will have their own private 2300 sq ft house with a small garage shop and storage attached. They will also have use of the spa and pool when there are no guests or by arrangement. The couple can have their own pets, but the family prefers the couple does not have small children due to all the water features on the property.

The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:
- Snow management: road plowing, road treatment and walkway clearing- unpredictable
- Landscaping and erosion control tasks such as weeding, mowing, fertilizing, planting, digging culverts as needed, etc.- each day M-F
- Potted plant watering and dead heading- weekend
- Checking man-made creeks- weekend
- Christmas decorating and preparation- seasonal
- Assisting guests on arrival with keys, questions and property instructions. Night or weekends
- Alpaca and chicken/duck care- weekend
- Mail and package delivery to main house- evening and weekend
- Pick up and dropping off of owners and possibly family at Santa Fe and Albuquerque airports.
- Emergency maintenance issues and vendor assistance (property manager guidance will be available)- unpredictable
- Walking property and checking buildings in general and being comfortable inquiring with anyone unexpected coming onto property day or night.
- Assisting owners when they are in residence – unpredictable but generally scheduled.
- Thorough knowledge of property and guest guidelines.
- Responsible for reporting any unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the guests or the property.
- Other duties as requested by property manager or estate owners.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual(s) must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily and independently. The position requires a strong commitment to working in partnership with the property manager to ensure that property buildings (including caretaker residence) and grounds are well maintained and cared for. Qualified persons must be self-motivated, have critical thinking skills, excellent people skills, and proficient on computer.
This is a no smoking property (exception made for some guests but not for residents).
