Assistant Manager, housekeeping and general maintenance - Gunnison, CO

Our Motel in Gunnison, Colorado is seeking up to two couples for the 2017 summer season (May to November.) We are seeking folks who can help with front desk, housekeeping, staff supervision, maintenance or carpentry (a couple of remodels planned.) We would want individuals who can commit to approximately 20 hours a week.

We are a small (currently 17 units) retro lodging property located on three acres with easy access to downtown and fishing, hiking and mountain biking.

We are highly rate on Trip Advisor. It is important to us that employees are willing to work to a high standard.

We have two RV sites, provide full hook-ups and wages. Alternatively, we could provide housing (not suitable for a family), utilities and wages. Wages based on experience. Island Acres is located in the middle of a very nice neighborhood. The location will be quiet, and the neighbors are very friendly.

While our season is from May 1 to mid November with our busiest time from mid-June to mid-August.

This is a perfect job for someone who is looking for a way to spend the time in Gunnison and yet still have plenty of time to enjoy all area.

Park Attendant & Volunteer Host with the US Army Corps of Engineers, Dale Hollow Lake - Allons, TN

Hello, I’m ranger Sondra Carmen with the US Army Corps of Engineers at Dale Hollow Lake located in central Tennessee and Kentucky. Dale Hollow Lake is a beautiful crystal clear lake surrounded by forested hillsides and is known for a variety of water and land based recreation including fishing, boating, and camping just to name a few. We also lay claim to the world record small mouth bass. Dale Hollow is centrally located about a 2 hour drive from Lexington, KY and Nashville, Knoxville, and Chattanooga, TN. We are seeking for the 2016 recreation season both paid park attendant and volunteer camp host positions. Both positions offer the opportunity to work with the public, provide customer service, support your federal lands, meet new people, make new friends and enjoy the rustic beauty found only in middle Tennessee.

The duties vary depending on the position. An individual campsite with hookups located with a beautiful lake view will be provided along with training and support as necessary. A PAID park attendant position for a workcamping couple is available at WILLOW GROVE CAMPGROUND and will be hired by bid solicitation process. Successful bidders must obtain SAMS registration and receive a DUNNS number. Interested persons can call us ahead of time to receive an email notification once the solicitation has been posted online. Attendants will be required to live in the campground during the campground open season and contract period. Volunteer Camp Hosts will be utilized in a variety of locations and job capacities. Positions at Lillydale, Willow Grove and Obey River Campgrounds are needed for part-time campground registration center operation; and day use fee collection. Volunteers will work no more than 20 hours a week but may involve weekends and summer holidays. Preference is given to those volunteers who chose to be with us the entire open season. Volunteers may also be subject to a background check.

Seeking a campground host for summer 2016.  Will Provide full RV hookup.  Small family owned campground with 9 Cabins and 8 RV sites in the Heart of the Black Hills in South Dakota.  Location is just 10 minutes from Mount Rushmore. 

If interested would provide salary for full time housekeeping position, otherwise need someone with very good personality to watch the campground during week days to ensure customer satisfaction.  Grounds Maintenance could also be part of the contract.  Depends on candidates and level of hours desired.  Months of operation are May 15th to October 3rd.

Rawhide is a faith-based residential treatment center that has changed the lives of at-risk youth for 50 years!  Located on the scenic Wolf River, our campus is situated on 575 acres about 30 minutes west of Appleton, Wisconsin.

Rawhide offers excellent training and support to our Houseparents, as well as a strong team environment.  Our living units are typically staffed with one set of Houseparents, along with 2-3 Resident Youth Care Workers (a live-in “big brother/big sister” position), a Professional Youth Care Worker, and plenty of support beyond the living units to ensure the needs of the youth are met. 

Required Job Qualifications: 

• Experience working with at-risk youth in residential treatment, foster care, or other direct care capacity

• Ability to interact and effectively communicate with culturally diverse, psychologically or behaviorally challenged population

• Experience in transitioning youth to positive situation (i.e., securing employment, creating and working on a budget, finding positive resources, and other beneficial environments)

• Assertive, self-confident, and sensitive in working with teens and staff

• Organized and dependable

• Possess a valid driver's license, without restrictions, except for glasses, and have a good driving record

• Demonstrate spiritual, social, emotional, and intellectual maturity

• Parenting experience (preferred)
