Sanctuary Animal Caretaker and Maintenance - Hartville, WY

Our Animal Sanctuary is a unique organization dedicated to the care and rehabilitation of former research animals. Settled on 1,000 acres in the ranchlands of Hartville, WY, just 3.5 hours north of Denver, Kindness Ranch provides a safe place for these animals to live and learn – and when they are ready, we also help them find their happily ever after!

We are seeking passionate, motivated, and qualified candidates to join our team as animal caretakers and/or maintenance staff. We currently have openings on both our companion animal team (dogs and cats) and our barnyard animal team (horses, sheep, pigs, cows), and are also seeking applicants with facilities maintenance and large equipment experience for one soon-to-be-available position. We are more than willing to bring a couple with the right skills on board to fill any two of our current open positions! The ideal candidates will be happy, hard-working, passionate animal lovers with the experience and skills to both complement and enhance our current team.

Primary duties for animal caretakers include:

Ensuring that our animals’ daily needs are met with the highest possible standards for care; socializing and creating an engaging and stimulating environment for all of our animals; assisting in the efforts of the rehab and training program; assisting in promoting and facilitating adoptions as needed; and supervising volunteers and day visitors in daily ranch activities.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Completion of a high school diploma at a minimum; Possession of a valid drivers’ license and clean driving record; Prior animal care experience at a shelter or sanctuary, day care or boarding facility, vet clinic, or other similar animal care organization or business is preferred; Basic computer and internet skills, including use of email and word processing and database software; Strong communication and customer service skills; Willingness and capability to live in a remote location with minimal services.

All employees should expect a varied and flexible schedule to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Because of our remote location, on-site housing can be provided to employees as needed. Staff housing units are all pet-friendly, but please note that this housing would be available for the employees only and cannot include family or any other non-employees.

Domestic Couple, France - Chantilly

A HNW couple are looking for a live-in guardian / domestic couple to take care of their beautiful weekend residence in Chantilly, France.

The house is about 650 m2, there are 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. There is also a large 2 hectare garden and a farmer / gardener working there but the couple would have to assist him. The Principals spend their weekends and some holidays in the property that is why the right candidates should be willing to work at weekends and have days off during the week.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assistance in taking care of the property including general preparation, cleaning and maintenance of premises
Looking after 2 small dogs (feeding, taking to the vet)
Light food preparation. Preparing breakfast on weekends when there are houseguests (light family style cooking)
Ensuring a comfortable stay for the family while in residence.
Providing the proper working order of household equipment (water heaters, small kitchen equipment, TVs), bulbs replacement, regulation of the climate control system, heating, plumbing maintenance, minor repairs and painting.
Laundry
Local grocery shopping.
Some gardening assistance
Car maintenance (1 car, car wash, MOT, insurance)
Local errands and occasional pick-ups/drop offs to/from CDG and local train station.

Requirements

Flexibility and efficiency
Driving license category B
Fluent French and conversational English for at least one person
Hard-working, multitasking, organizational skills, ability to adapt quickly, independence in work
Team players
Love for their work and ability to deal with unforeseen problems
Experience of working in a HNW family and/or in in the hospitality industry would be an advantage
Well groomed, smart and tidy appearance
An extensive work experience (from 5 to 10 years)
Valid references
Non-smokers

Schedule
35 hours per week, with flexibility during the presence of the employers, including weekends.

Holiday
4 weeks holiday per year

Probation period
3 months

Accommodation
The position is live-in. The employers provide a furnished independent caretakers two story house of about 70m with 2 bedrooms.

Salary
€3,500 net per month (for the couple) plus housing with utility allowance.

You will have POS software responsibilities such as banking and daily account reconciliation, yield management and collections work. You will be responsible for sales and outside marketing of the facility. All materials will be provided. You will also be responsible for outside cleaning and truck rentals.

Park Host - Dozier, AL

Workcamper Couple Job Duties: Camp Host, Housekeeper, Maintenance, Groundskeeper, Retail, General Labor

Compensation: FHU Only We are looking for a work camper couple to work at our RV park in South Alabama. This couple needs to be able to perform maintenance type work and also have some computer experience.

Experience with Campground Master reservation software, Microsoft Office products, and a basic understanding of the computer environment is preferred. Compensation is for site only.

Caretaker(s) - Tahlequah, OK

Work 16-20 hours weekly in exchange for lodging. The home is a two bedroom single family dwelling with a fireplace and screened in back porch. Job duties include minor maintenance, light painting, changing furnace filters monthly, mowing and landscape upkeep of your yard and playground area, litter patrol and assisting with vacancy make readys when needed.

The property is located in a small sub-division of 31 homes in a nice neighborhood. The postion is ideal for a retired or semi-retired couple or a couple with part time jobs. A single indivual may also be considered for the position. Knowledge of minor electrical, plumbing and drywall repairs is desired. The ability to interact pleasantly with the residents is a must. This position will be available sometime around April 1, 2017.
