Innkeeper couple for a beautiful Bed&Breakfast in the wine region "Penedes" province of Barcelona - Torrelle de Foix Spain

Hello! We are looking for a friendly, motivated and professional couple for the coming summer season 2020 approx. between the 22th of June until the 12th of September. 

Our old farmhouse is a B&B with 14 beds and additionally, there are 2 apartments (with all in all 6 beds) on the same grounds.

The house is located in a beautiful wine region behind the Mediterranean between Barcelona, Tarragona and the Montserrat. Barcelona and Tarragona are both ca. 60km away...the sandy golden coast of Sitges ca. 30km.

We are looking for a house-, pet-, garden- and business-sitter COUPLE who is capable of handling not only the house and the grounds of this size (700m2 house and 2700m2 grounds) but also running in a professional and guest-friendly manner the B&B Business during the high season summer months next year. 

You'd live in our comfortable flat, around 100m2 with a big, sunny terrace overlooking the valle with a separate entrance to the B&B.

Everyday tasks are:

Preparing breakfast in a buffet style for up to 20 people (average is 12 p) (depending of occupation) 

Food and drinks management for breakfast, soft drinks, water and beer etc.

Optional: preparing dinner (as a profit centre, earnings belong 100% to you) 

Check-in and check-out of guests

Briefing the guests for daily excursions around the area

Making up/cleaning the rooms and preparing them for new guests 

Running the hotel management system (software) 

Maintaining the swimming pool throughout the summer in perfect condition

Managing all technical challenges ... from changing a light bulb to fixing a pipe jam or any other problem that might occur. 

Looking after the 4 cats and 4 chicken

Looking after the plants, maintaining a proper well looked after garden area (at least in the visible areas for the guests)...

All the 4 cats need a little bit of your attention, food, some cuddling etc. In addition, we have currently 4 chicken in a coral that need food and water and the coral needs to be cleaned every 3 days ...you will be rewarded with 2-4 eggs a day ... so you will have some nice food for free ;-)

Ideally the preferred languages spoken by you are English and Spanish (both fluently)...a plus would be a little bit of German and/or Dutch.

Important: Must love cats! Must be a non-smoker!

No drugs. No excessive alcohol consumption! To get around and to go grocery shopping you would need a car.

Remuneration:

The normal tasks of a house sitter (looking after the house, the pets and the garden) will not be paid. Therefore, you can stay and live in our fully equipped flat including Internet. Then of course the taking care of the business during the high season weeks will be rewarded by a percentage* of the overall accommodation income during that time. 

*The final percentage has to be agreed upon and depends also on whether or not you can provide us afterwards with an official invoice that we use for our book keeping. Ideally you are a member of the European Union so that there won't be any problems with the "working permit authorities".

The roles offered are for a Park Manager and Maintenance Tech who live on-site and oversee all daily operations of a manufactured housing community. Experience in manufactured housing communities or another type of property management is a plus, but an eagerness to learn from our many training opportunities is equally important.

Key management duties include:
• Billing and depositing rents using billing and banking software systems
• Pursuing delinquent accounts when necessary
• Welcoming new resident applicants and processing applications for residency
• Completing and signing new rental agreements in keeping with community standards
• Monitoring the premises and enforcing community rules and regulations, issuing reminders and formal notices when necessary

Applicants must be eager to learn, highly organized, detail-oriented, patient, warm and positive, and must have good communication skills. Manager's ability to routinely email and text is important. FEATURED JOB OPENING: Maintenance/Housekeeping Couple - Key Largo, FL

MarineLab/ MRDF is hiring a maintenance worker/housekeeping COUPLE to live and work at our marine science educational facility in Key Largo! Because we work with children, candidates must provide references and pass background checks including Level II fingerprinting checks. We have very low turnover, so this must be a pretty cool place to work! We also have a small staff, so candidates must be team players and willing to pitch in where needed.  The facility includes 5 boats, which are maintained primarily by our Lead Captain but help may occasionally be required, a large dorm/classroom/office building, campus grounds, a cafeteria/dining hall, and various outbuildings. Maintenance job is full time (40 hours a week) and requires general maintenance skills, including carpentry, plumbing, light groundskeeping, and electrical. The right candidate is detail oriented, has organizational skills to manage work load, including purchasing supplies, and self-motivated. This position has potential for advancement within a year - 18 months. English required; Spanish-English bilingual a plus but not required.

Housekeeping job is part time (32 - 35 hours per week) and requires general cleaning skills (bathrooms, dorm rooms, offices). This position also requires supervisory skills such as scheduling self and one other housekeeper to meet program needs, and the right candidate is self-motivated and has the organizational skills to manage work load, including purchasing supplies. English required; Spanish-English bilingual a plus but not required.

On-site housing is included in a newly renovated mobile home, which has 1 bedroom, 1 bath and a washer/dryer. Utilities, including internet, are included. Please note that onsite housing is part of the compensation package (value: $20K per year) and residence is required. Duties include being on call 5 nights a week for any onsite maintenance issues (usually an air conditioner issue!), and 1 hour/week is allocated for any overnight calls. The entire facility is non-smoking; housing includes one parking space; small pets considered.

Both positions are paid hourly. In addition, benefits include paid vacation and sick time, paid holidays, company health insurance, and retirement contribution after one year. Staff shirts provided. Hourly rate starts between $13 - $14/hour, commensurate with experience, and is reviewed after 60 days. Position is open until filled; our target start date is flexible but hopefully January 8, 2020.
