Innkeeper(s) - Cimarron, NM

Innkeeper (couple or individual)position available starting March 2020  six miles south of Cimarron, New Mexico. We are a 1912 adobe villa on 225 acres in a stunning, remote setting adjacent to Philmont Scout Ranch. The Casa has 5 guest rooms, as well as a two room Guest House, all with private baths. Listed on New Mexico Registry of Cultural Properties and National Register of Historic Places as ". . . among the earliest  and most accomplished examples of a residence designed in the Pueblo Revival style in New Mexico"

While many people think New Mexico is mostly desert, and one needs a passport to get there, I'm happy to say neither is correct. Cimarron is located on the front range of the Sangre de Cristo mountains of northern New Mexico. The landscape is much more like Colorado than what one typically thinks of as New Mexico. To the east lie the high plains of northeastern New Mexico. Mountains a few miles to the west rise to over 11,000 feet. Deer and turkey are common, elk, fox, and bobcat are occasionally seen. Raton, New Mexico (pop 6,000) is just under an hour. Taos, New Mexico is an hour and 15 minutes. Santa Fe is two and a half hours.

While many of our guests come to visit to the Scout Ranch - mostly during the summer months - the majority of guests are unassociated with the Scout Ranch and come to visit this very special destination inn. We have a terrific regular clientele that is most appreciative of the Casa and our staff. The Casa has excellent reviews on Tripadvisor, Travelocity, etc, and was included on bedandbreakfast.com's "Top 25 Inns" in 2017.

Due to the size of the inn with 7 guest rooms this is very much a hands-on position rather than overseeing a staff. Duties include the typical tasks such as reservations, guest services, shopping, cooking, housekeeping, laundry, light maintenance, etc. Local housekeeper takes care of most housekeeping duties, but some housekeeping by innkeeper will be necessary. Applicants must be self-motivated, organized, very detail oriented, personable and professional. Experience, excellent references, and background check required. The role: Ministry Leaders lead their staff team in the care and programming for youth in the home they live in. They are responsible for maintaining a cohesive family unit and maintaining a high level of communication with those on the treatment team. They identify spiritual needs, correct negative behavior, tutor, plan activities and events, counsel/advise, and teach the students to work through daily problems that may come up in the course of a day. Additionally, Ministry Leaders collaborate with students and support staff to assure that students complete treatment plans.

Rawhide seeks Ministry Leaders who will contribute to the overall vision and mission of the organization. The ideal candidate(s) for this position will be a married couple without dependent children, due to the nature of the position. They will first and foremost exemplify maturity, integrity, a teachable spirit, and emotional stability, while carrying an equal yoke in terms of spiritual discernment that’s complemented by a high sense of self-confidence. ** Camp Host Couple** - Onsite Couple ~ Cabins/RV Sites - Lakehead, CA

We are a small Resort located in the mountains, surrounded by forest on Shasta Lake in Northern California and are seeking an on-site Camp host couple  

 Wildlife and nature surround the resort in a peaceful and quiet setting.  This is a place where you can feel a sense of pride and accomplishment as you provide hosting for the guests.  We have families that return to stay with us, and in addition, we are continuing to build our guest list.  We offer RV Sites and Cabin rentals. 

As we are in a remote location, the perfect couple should have an entrepreneurial spirit and be comfortable in this type of setting.  This is perfect for those who are looking for an opportunity, perhaps be slowing life down, and yet, still have energy to provide the resort guests with customer service.  It is acceptable to have one of the team in a full or part time job which would ideally be flexible enough for them to still help, as needed during the busy season at the resort. 

Our “Resort Season” begins in May and goes through just after Labor Day weekend.

The Camp Host’ would be on call through the day and evening hours with management sharing these times, for guests needs and to greet the arrival of guests / potential guests; checking guests in and out; showing the resort property and dealing with emergency maintenance issues. Other duties would include distribution of bagged ice to guests, providing fire pits, grills, firewood to guestscollecting garbage in the eveningsand attending to additional requests.   Managementwill coordinate off time scheduling with the couple and this would be discussed during the interview process as we understand that having time away from the property together is important.

Management will step in to take over on occasion if the couple would need time away.  This will be discussed during the interview process.   Management will be residing on property during the summer season and will assist in maintain grounds, be available for emergencies, communicate with Host’ regarding reservations, etc.

The ideal candidates shall have experience in a similar setting; have the energy to maintain the resort guests daily and be available to guests needs.

The ideal candidates’ responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Greeting guests, welcoming off road guests, checking guests in and out
• Customer service, which includes providing guests with lake activity information and local information
• On site security
• Dispose of, in the evening, all garbage and recycling as needed to deter wildlife.
• Human relations with current, potential and return guests
• Helping guests with boat trailer parking at the resort, assisting with parking of RV’s if necessary
• Communication with Management
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and requests

• Camp hosts must set an example by being model campers who always practice good housekeeping in and around their campsite

• We provide to the host’ an RV space - full hookup, which includes Dish TV & Wi-Fi (Satellite) water, electric, sewer, propane, free laundry, Ice and firewood.

• The candidates would be fluent in English and a "hands on" duo with complementary skills to reside on property * in their privately-owned RV, on one of our full hook-up RV Sites  

• There is also an opportunity to earn income, if interested in cleaning cabins after move-outs through the season at a rate of $25.00 per 1 bedroom and $35.00 per 2 or 3-bedroom cabin cleaned. 

Host’ will demonstrate a passion for hospitality, be reliable and dependable, business appropriate and personable to interact with guests, Honest and good natured, provide attention to creating a pleasing and clean atmosphere, and the ability to relate to diverse guests. 

Although not a requirement, we would like to find a couple that would consider staying on property indefinitely should it be viable for both parties.During that time (mid-September until opening season in May) the couple would also be able to seek other employment.  During off season, the resort is not open for business (however, there will be limited times that the owners/friends/family may utilize the facilities) and this would be coordinated with the management team. During off season, the resort would require security and light grounds maintenance and the host’ would be able to have time away which can be arranged with management.
