Become the ambassadors for our sustainable retreat property in Provence. We are currently seeking a resourceful, dynamic, entrepreneurial property managers. The B&B is about living in harmony with nature, creating homely environment for inspiration and wellness. Our sustainable luxury property in Provence, 1hr 15 min from Nice and 35 min north of Hyeres in France. This is a wonderful lifestyle where you live on premises, and embrace the beauty of a countryside lifestyle.
This opportunity is fulltime and paid.
The Right Fit:
- Be an outgoing, forward-facing personality; will be the face of Bastide Avellanne to both guests and the local community.
- Be professional with at least 5 years of management experience
- Thinks and lives sustainability.
- Loves gastronomy and quality food.
- Is an entrepreneurial, driven and motivating leader who has experience inspiring people.
- Displays strong hands-on, roll-up your sleeves operational skills; thrives in customer
- Thinks critically and objectively; has excellent problem solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions.
- Economically mindful with spending. Someone who thrives for finding quality for a good price.
- Has a passion for hospitality, demonstrated by a progressive hospitality
- Previous experience working directly with ownership.
- Is technologically savvy, with a strong understanding of Social Media, Sales and Marketing.
- Fluency in English and French; oral as well as written.
Our guests stay in the property to enjoy the tranquillity, the retrest life and to engage in Yoga, Tennis, Boule or Chess, taste nice wines and food, naturally also to enjoy the rich nature of the region through ecological activities such as hiking, horse-riding, yoga activities or simply relaxing at the pool.
Responsibilities incude: Management of the propery, admin, recruiting, hospitality, preparing service for breakfast, lunch, and Dinners (no cooking), checking guests in/out, gardening, shopping for food, cleaning of the swimming pool, exploring the area together with the guests (act as guides).
Through your daily work and interactions with the guests and the local community, you will have the opportunity to learn all the beautiful places of the region and subsequently over time guide clients to several sites. It is important that one of the members speaks French. Knowledge of maintenance work such as plumbing, electrical and grounds maintenance is an advantage. Please also submit a photo of both of you. Ideally non smokers. Driving licence for both members is a prerequisite.
Compensation for this position consist of a good wage per month, the free usage of an one bedroom apartment, open kitchen and a relief budget.
