Innkeeper and Chef Couple - Luxury B&B - Newport, RI

We are seeking an Innkeeper and Chef Couple to manage a luxury B&B in Newport, RI. The property is a beautiful, top-rated property in a historical tourist destination.
B&B Innkeeper Requirements and Qualifications:
- Represent the B&B well to guests - welcome guests, manage all reservation, offer concierge services
- At least five years of experience running a high-end B&B or Inn
- Creative cooking skills and ability to offer breakfast, check-in snacks, and evening small offerings
- Financial accountability - P&L, budget, AR, and payable
- Desire to make a long-term career commitment
- Manage in-house marketing
- Manage vendors, ordering, and inventory
- Experience with Quicken, reservation systems, and World Pay a plus
Base salary in the $45,000 to $60,000 range depending on single or couple and prior experience
Incentive bonuses including an "End of High Season" reward
A furnished 450 square foot basement apartment with king bed, four windows, and an efficiency kitchen
Utilities, WiFi, Cell Phone
Off-season paid vacations: three weeks after one year, four weeks after two years, and 6 weeks after five years

We are looking for couples to join us for the 2021 summer season. Beginning in May and ending after the 3rd weekend in October. We can offer $9.50 an hour per person with an FHU, 50AMP RV site included with your employment. We also pay a $4.00 per day, per person bonus for those couples that finish out their contract.
Your duties include retail sales and customer service, restocking and pricing and putting out new merchandise and when all of that is finished a little light cleaning and dusting. We guarantee 8 hours a day, 5 days a week for everybody. As a couple you will work the same shift and have the same 2 days off in a row.

Previous innkeeping or lodging experience helpful, however the ideal couple will have a strong housekeeping and maintenance background. Being able to turn a room and handle basic maintenance issues will be required. They will also need the ability to supervise vendors and or housekeepers. Couple to handle all aspects from fielding reservation calls, check-ins, record keeping, hiring/firing vendors, and general maintenance.
Compensation will include an onsite two bedroom river-balcony apartment with all utilities included, including cable and wifi. Managers will be paid a salary along with a commission on every room rented and the ability to earn a regular bonus.

- Use rational problem-solving techniques to teach youth critical thinking skills, assist with behavioral problems, counsel through personal issues and provide crisis intervention
- Plan, participate and provide opportunities for individual and family activities that are both educational and entertaining
- Display and teach parenting, family and relationship skills to youth, legal guardians and caretakers to create family engagement
- Maintain contact with both internal and external consumers agencies to obtain or provide information regarding youth’s behaviors, strategies and progress
- Prepare written records for household budgeting, tracking youth progress, reporting incidents/behaviors and document youth medical needs and appointments
- Teach and role model Boys Town values and ethical behaviors, as well as support and encourage participation in regular religious activities
- Supervise the activities of assigned Assistant Family-Teacher to aid in their development and success
- Manage the daily operating schedule of the home; assist with youth transportation needs, and overall household upkeep
