Campground Caretaker(s)/Manager - Aitkin, MN

Do you enjoy fishing? Do you enjoy a quiet, small, family campground with no weekend traffic? Our campground in Aitkin, Minnesota (2 hours north of the Twin Cities) is looking for you! Typical duties include:

- General maintenance duties, including but not limited to: Pool work, restroom cleaning/maintenance, light mechanical
- Lawn and grounds maintenance, including: mowing and weed whacking
- Light tree/brush trimming
- Painting/staining, light electrical and plumbing
- Light weeding of lakeshore area
- Monitor private boat launch
- Other duties as assigned

All 56 sites are seasonally rented or individually owned so there is no short term stays or rental of sites. Compensation includes a full hookup RV site with water, sewer, 50-amp electric, and WiFi. All hours worked are paid, pay rate and days worked are negotiable.

We are looking for someone to start July 1 and work through the first week of October.

We are seeking couple for camp host position. Dates required from June thru September.

Our Campground is a beautiful 40 site park. We are located on Hiway 265, overlooking the iconic 76 Hiway (the strip). We are a family oriented park that provides unmatched customer service. 

Work Hours: Each person is required to work 2 days a week. We are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Saturday and closed on Sunday's. Two eight hour shifts are required from each individual in the couple. That is a total of 32 hours combined each week. 

Return for Work Hours: Rent free space with a stunning view, free laundry, free shows and attractions, free cable and wifi, access to the conference room, access to a shop when not working, and a great opportunity to make friends. 

Responsibilities:, basic maintenance duties, water sampling, basic landscaping, helping guests with problems at campsite. Duties also include: answering the phone, responding to emails, making reservations, and minor cleaning duties. 

FEATURED JOB OPENING: Management Couple Full Time Needed Immediately - Northern ID

Remote Resort in the Northern Idaho Wilderness is seeking a full time couple for resort management. This is a 12 month full-time opportunity with 3 months paid time off (December through Febuary). Housing is provided year round and basic utitlities included.

We are rustic, older waterfront resort with a variety of cabins, motel units, a campground, pool and hot tubs. During peak season we also operate a small general store, bar and grill (however the bar and grill is closed this year due to covid, the store is open).  We are looking for the perfect couple to manage day to day operations.  Ideally at least one person will be handy (able to fix and/or trouble shoot maintainence type issues).  This is a very time consuming and demanding job during the busy summer months, and much slower in the spring and fall.  Both parties must be able to work very long hours for several days at a time (especially during the busy months). Some basic job requirements include but are not limited to: the ability to multi-task, manage other employees, manage and/or help with ordering, excellent customer-service skills, attention to detail, computer literacy and comfortabilty, excellent cleaning and organizational skills, dependability, strong work ethic, trustworthy, independent, self-starter with the ability to take initiative, the ability to work well with others- staff and customers, and the ability to perform physically demanding work such as cleaning and basic maintainence.  Must be willing to do whatever is needed in the hospitality industry at this time.  In other words, you must be able to do whatever it takes in day to day operation.  Managers are also responsible for the pool and hot tubs seasonally.

Daily Operations between the couple include (but are not limited to): Front desk operation (including the store, laundry, answering phone calls and assisting guests, daily laundry, stocking, cleaning, ordering, and reporting directly to General Manager.  Ideally this position for a couple will include one person who can manage more of the front desk, store, and main lodge operations while the other can manage more of the grounds keeping, cleaning services, and general maintainence.  6 days on, 1 day off per week and 3 months vacation in winter.

We are looking for someone(s) who loves the area, loves the outdoors, and thrives in remote locations.  The ideal couple will take pride in their work and pride in the operations, appearance, and overall management of the resort and demonstrate so in day to day operations and have the desire to stay long-term.

Must be non-smoking and because of the location and logistics this is not ideal for a couple with children. On site housing and utilities in provided in addition to full time compensation.
