The GM role is an active, hands-on role that requires the successful applicant to perform all aspects of hotel operations and management, from taking reservations and cleaning rooms to managing administrative work. There is a staff of eight, including housekeepers, front desk personnel, and maintenance person. Our GM of 5+ years is departing to tour the world. This job is a live-in role. Experience with cloud-based property management systems is required, and some practical repair & maintenance experience is helpful.

Our Store & Campground is located on the Southeast side of Mt. Saint Helens in Washington State.

There are 4 rental cabins, 15 campsites, a general store and a pizza place.  We are looking for both full and part time employees.

The positions require some heavy lifting, working on your feet for multiple hours at a time, ability to keep up in a fast paced environment, and the ability to work efficiently independently.

Our facility is unique in that it is off grid and quite remote.  If you have an RV, a dry camp site will be provided.  There are also other housing options for the right candidate.  Employees will also have access to onsite restrooms, laundry, showers and wifi (during store hours).

Personal Assistant/Household and Property Manager, Couple - Garrison, NY

Working Artist is looking for a proactive, dynamic young live-in couple to manage house, studio, property and a special garden in Garrison, NY. This is a live in position with a separate one bedroom apartment on the property. The job consists of managing household and garden maintenance whilst being hands-on for all duties.

Outdoor skills must include excellent knowledge of gardens and plants plus outdoor equipment and systems including leaf blowing, snow removal and garden calendar. Household duties include typical knowledge of deep cleaning and indoor maintenance tasks and upkeep. Trouble shooting with HVAC, electrical, plumbing and security. One member will also function as a personal assistant and must be highly tech savvy. The couple’s responsibilities will be varied, including assisting with art studio tasks, which may include packing and shipping art work, securing art supplies. storage and inventory, managing the artists’ art and ceramic collection.

This is an excellent job for a high energy creative couple with varied interests who are interested in being an integral part of an exciting professional artist household.

The position begins officially on August 1, with paid training days arranged in the weeks before. Remuneration is commensurate with experience, the live in role constitutes and additional benefit.

Property Caretakers - Washburn, WI

Potter’s Farm Retreat Center, a non-profit educational organization in Washburn, Wisconsin, is in search of a Caretaker. The applicant must be 21 years of age or older, have appropriate work experience, skills and ability. Applicants will be self-motivated, able to work independently, are self-directed, and possess good management skills. Applicants who have a background or strong interest in nonprofits, carpentry, landscaping, permaculture, sustainability, nature, non-traditional or experiential education, and are respectful of varying spiritual traditions are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to those who have an undergraduate degree, equivalent practical experience or certification in a relevant field. 

The Caretaker will run the day-to-day facilities, grounds, gardens of a northern Wisconsin retreat center and will act as a security presence and as a host for guests. The Caretaker will receive on-site housing including paid utilities in exchange for this work. The Caretaker has access to the 40 plus acres of land to include a pond, labyrinth, and hiking trails. Please note this job offers no wages or salary.  We welcome joint applications by couples for this position. 

This is a part-time permanent position, and is available immediately. The Caretaker works approximately 25 hours a week fulfilling the responsibilities for the work exchange and reports to an appointed liaison of the Potter’s Farm, Inc. Board.
