Security of property
Verification of occupancy
Coordination with rental agencies
Interacting with contractors during active projects

Small family owned cabin property seeks a couple for a permanent position. Our property is located on two acres located near Wolf Creek Ski Area. We are central to all outdoor sports year round. We are a health conscious property and seek individuals with healthy lifestyles.
Staff currently includes the innkeeper (hiker, skier, whitewater enthusiast, beach lover), Ken and Jen (bicyclists, skiers, hikers, vegans and outdoor enthusiasts), and Scott (music lover, skier, outdoors enthusiast). Our ages range from 35 to 58. We seek a couple that loves the outdoors, recycling and healthy lifestyle to complete our staff. We are here for the lifestyle, peace, quiet, beauty, outdoor sports.
We seek people with smiles and a “can do” attitude. Looking for team players willing to work at anything needing attention from painting inside/out, lawns (we really need sprucing up outdoors with some beautification projects and flowers), organic gardening, quilt making from fleece scraps, window cleaning, caulking, grouting, minor repairs, hot tub maintenance, carpet cleaning, housekeeping, laundry, front desk, available in the event of middle of the night guest emergencies (not often, perhaps a few times a year). If anything needs done, you must be willing to cheerfully take care of it. You will need to be great with people, genuinely happy people with smiles and "can do" attitudes, no smoking, no problem drinkers, happy and willing to work at *any* task, must love animals (we have 6). Only those able to self direct and work independently will be considered. We require self starters able to organize work needing done, present work to us for prioritization, then carry out the work efficiently and quickly. Experience has taught us only happy flexible people fit in here and we will, unfortunately, not be able to keep anyone with less than cheerful attitudes coming here to work and live.
Hours are 20-30 hours per week per person most weeks. During our busier seasons each will be expected to work up to 40 hours per week. Pay is minimum wage ($7.25 per hour at this time in Colorado). Ten hours per week in exchange for housing in our Employee Quarters. Employees quarters is a basic studio type set up. Housing includes cable TV, wifi, local telephone, utilities, use of snowshoes when not in use. Desired hours will be negotiated with you prior to hiring with the understanding there can be some variation in the number of hours according to our occupancy. Actual hours worked may vary according to guest needs (may be a few hours more or less in any given week according to guest and property needs). Although we will try to adhere to a schedule, we need to remain flexible as to actual hours worked. The best example might be if we agreed to a 20 hour week, one week could be 18 hours with the next week being 22 hours (with the goal to provide a 20 hour week if that is what we negotiated). We will strive to meet a schedule but experience has taught us there are variations from week to week. The general hours we work are anywhere from 8am to 9pm (the hours we are open) although most work is done between the hours of 10am-5pm. We work weekends and holidays. Sometimes there are guest tips. Lodge off season is April and early May.
Each of you will be working at separate tasks, not together, most of the time. Although we will make every attempt to schedule you similar hours, it may not always work out. For example, one person may be working on lawns while the other is working at the front desk, housekeeping or laundry. There may be times one is scheduled to work and the other is not due to occupancy levels.
Our town is small. Location is outdoor sports oriented at 8200’ elevation near ski mountain and a top golf course. Area offers all outdoor sports: snowmobiling, cross country skiing, downhill skiing, ice climbing, mountain biking, hiking, all kinds of fishing, 4 wheeling, ATVing … all the outdoor sports, we go from one season to another of sports.
