Motel Property Owner seeks permanent full time Onsite Motel Manager (couple) for daily operations of 22 unit residential motel (mixture of daily, weekly, and monthly).
Duties Include:
Collection of rents and basic record keeping.
Responsible for turning over vacancies when guests/tenants vacate the unit.
Responsible for general housekeeping: cleaning rooms, kitchens, appliances, bathrooms, laundering linen, sweeping and mopping.
Responsible for maintaining general appearance of the property: sidewalks, parking lot, hallways, and common areas.
Responsible for accurate weekly and monthly preventative maintenance of units and building.
Maintain flexible work schedule to cover vacancies or customer issues.
Insure that projects are completed on timely basis.
Responsible for additional work related assignments as requested by Manager.
Physical demands:
Able to stoop, bend, kneel, walk, carry, lift, manual dexterity.
Able to lift @30 lbs regularly and @50 lbs. occasionally.
Able to perform light maintenance, work with tools, work with cleaning supplies, and cleaning agents.
Five day work week on call remaining two.
Compensation:
Compensation package of $36,000 48,000 for year: Includes salary, 2 bedroom living quarters, water, electric, cable, laundry, and 2 weeks vacation after one year service.

Summary;
Oversees and coordinates daily operations of Cliff Dweller Hotel (22-unit property) to ensure highest standards for cleanliness, product quality, and guest service. The ideal candidate will be positive, energetic and knowledgeable of lodging operations. Must be hands on in all aspects of the day to day operation with the focus on excellent customer service and exceptional guest experience. Must have flexible schedule and able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
Duties;
• Ensures that housekeeping team has all rooms cleaned and ready for guests' arrival, leads daily housekeeping team meeting, trains and orients new housekeeping staff, assists with housekeeping duties during peak time when necessary.
• Anticipates and assesses guests' needs and responds in a courteous and professional manner. Serves as night MOD/caretaker, answers calls and assists guests with minor issues after business hours.
• Plans for, makes orders, and keeps accurate inventory of housekeeping and front desk supplies.
• Monitors & maintains proper inventory of all supplies; cleaning, linen, guest toiletries, front desk supplies, gift shop merchandise, etc.
• Ensures housekeeping supplies are well maintained, follows up that housekeepers have appropriately stocked the supplies at the end of their shift.
• Manages the housekeeping team (staff of 1-3) and assists in all housekeeping duties when needed, housekeeping duties are part of this job during summer, and a major part of this job during winter months.
• Responds to emails, answers phone calls, monitors and manages reservations, front desk duties are part of this job.
• Resolves minor maintenance issues and keeps accurate maintenance logs, promptly reports major maintenance issues to maintenance technician.
• Perform room inspections and all common areas on a daily basis and promptly addresses any and all issues that may be present.
• Develops, implements, and maintains deep cleaning schedules.
• Manages expenses within approved budget constraints.
• Prepares accurate and timely reports as required.
• Trains, supervises, motivates, and develops housekeeping staff when necessary and manages workflow.
• Advertises job openings, interviews, and hires new employees. Coaches, manages, and disciplines existing staff. Responsible for team motivation and overall satisfaction.
• Has marketing responsibilities online, via phone, and in person, such as responding to online reviews, etc.
• During slow winter months, this position assists with front desk and housekeeping at Cascade Lodge, the sister property.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have valid driver’s license.
• 2+ years related experience or equivalent housekeeping/front desk experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating employees

• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage priorities and workflow

Camp Host Duties:
• Bathroom cleaning and lots of it. (Unfortunately, not everyone's favorite job.... just trying to be honest).
• Pond cleaning (outdoor hot springs.)
• Cleaning private soaking tubs.
• Checking guest parking passes.
• Helping front desk with check outs.
• Hauling garbage to dumpsters.
• Pond walks (ensuring guest safety and rule following).
• Firewood delivery to camp sites.
• Visiting and talking with guests.
• ***Most important job, running our water system to keep our pond toasty.

Must haves:
• Camp Host must have a valid CPR card

Other things to know:
• If you are staying through the winter, be prepared we do get very chilly here. But when you are not on shift you can soak in the hot water to your heart's content.
• You must be able to cook in your camper, our staff kitchen will be going away soon. Otherwise, you would need to cook in the small community kitchen with guests.
• Children? No problem. Just be sure you have someone (an adult) who can watch your children when you are on shift.
• Pets? No problem. We have 400 acres you can walk your furry friend. Please make sure your pet is friendly if you are walking them in common areas. And we do not allow excessive barking for staff pets or guest pets.
• We do run background checks on all camp hosts/Staff
• We are located 25 miles from the closest grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations.
• No on-site laundry. Laundromat is in Hines. (25 miles)
• I do require a photo of your RV. I would also love photos of your pets (only so you can brag about them.)
• I do ask you do your research of our area. We are secluded, in the winter you should have hobbies or exploring you like to do.
• We supply work shirts, sweatshirts, hats, walkie-talkies, and work cellphones (for easy communication, and pond temperatures)
