Hawthorn Senior Living, a gracious retirement community for active seniors is now hiring for an Assistant Management Couple for Bethlehem.
The successful candidate couple must have a passion for serving older adults with proven customer service and strong management/supervisory skills to assist in the management of the day-to-day operations of our retirement community. We offer a competitive salary starting at $60,000 to $70,000 per year depending on location. Overall Job Purpose:
Working hand in hand with the Community Managers as a team to ensure that we obtain and hold 100% resident happiness, 100% financial occupancy, 100% on budget with a 100% trained and motivated staff.
Minimum Job Qualifications and Requirements:
• Be able to work as part of a team with the Managers and the Chef to provide a great living environment for our residents and a safe and motivating work atmosphere for our staff. To support the Managers in the day-to-day operations of the Community.
• Willingness and ability to live on-site in an assigned apartment.
• Prior management experience including operational and financial experience in managing employees, customer service, purchasing, payroll and accounts payable/receivable.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, with residents and staff.
• Ability to keep all business, operational and resident information confidential.

Camphost Couple Wanted for 2024 Season - Kaleden, BC

We are looking for a customer service oriented couple to join us for the 2024 summer season (April 15 through to September 15). Our RV Park is 36 sites located on the beautiful 18 hole Twin Lakes Golf Course in the amazing Okanagan Valley/Similkameen Valley area of British Columbia.
Duties:
Office - booking RV Park reservations by phone, email and in person; checking guests in; daily washroom and laundry room cleaning; interacting with guests
Park - mowing, trimming and raking sites; light site maintenance; escorting guests to their site on arrival; emptying garbage and recycling; daily washroom cleaning; interacting with guests
Camphost couple will receive a full hookup 30amp site; free Wifi; free laundry room use; and a choice of either a 3 days on/ 3 days off schedule or a 2 days on/5 days off schedule; there is a remuneration for days worked.

Front Desk:
Book and manage reservations using our cloud-based park management system
Assist guests throughout the duration of their stay
Follow specific cash and credit card handling procedures and properly use the computer, cash register, credit card and various other front desk equipment
Provide to guests’ information about local attractions, restaurants, services, etc.
Ensure proper communication with maintenance and other crews as necessary
Handle daily, weekly and monthly stocking and cleaning duties as requested by manager
Other duties as to help fellow teammates
Housekeeping:
Clean and tidy all areas and accommodations to the standard cleanliness within time limits
Assist guests throughout the duration of their stay
Ensure housekeeping projects do not interfere with guests’ use of facilities and amenities
Maintain equipment in good condition
Maintain appropriate levels of consumables to run the housekeeping program
Conduct facilities and accommodation inspections routinely to ensure cleanliness and proper function
Comply with health and safety regulations
Act in line with any company and licensing laws
Ensure proper communication with maintenance and other crews as necessary
Handle daily, weekly and monthly stocking and cleaning duties as requested by manager
Other duties as assigned to help fellow teammates
Maintenance:
Safely operate necessary groundskeeping and heavy equipment such as mowers, tractors, chainsaws and other machines
Assist in ensuring grounds are maintained and kept clean at all times
Assist in maintaining and cleaning buildings and common areas throughout the park
Assist in the performance of minor electrical, carpentry and plumbing work as needed
Assist in trash collection and cleanup
Execute honey-wagon (vacuum truck) duties when and where necessary, on a scheduled basis
Provide guest support when needed
Other duties as assigned to help fellow teammates
All tasks are not limited to one specific role.
Candidates required to have 2+ years’ experience in facility and site maintenance or the equivalent, ability to safely drive trucks, tractors and other motorized vehicles, a valid driver’s license, and a positive can-do attitude!
