Park Hosts are a vital part of any park's operation. Guadalupe River seeks energetic, friendly, outgoing Park Hosts to assist in park maintenance operations. Previous Park Host experience is preferred but not required.
Please note the schedule for this position will most likely include weekends and holidays. This position's primary focus will be to assist the park maintenance team in performing routine park maintenance duties including, but not limited to, mowing, landscaping, trail maintenance, cleaning restrooms, cleaning campsites, cleaning other park facilities, and picking up litter in the park.
For this position, a minimum of 24 hours per week is required for singles and 32 hours for couples. There is a minimum stay of 3 months and a maximum of 6 months for first-timers, pending performance review. Terms and conditions will be discussed upon interview. In exchange for your time, you will be authorized to stay in the park for free for the duration of your stay. You will have a 50 amp full hook-up site and washer/dryer facilities. This is a volunteer position, and a profile on our Volunteer Management System is required. Tent-only camp hosting is not allowed.
Background check required; liability waiver signature required; defensive driving certifications are provided and required to operate state vehicles.

Our campground is a beautiful, nature-based park. We are a quiet rustic 70 site campground. Located just outside of Old Town, roughly 45 minutes from Gainesville and 30 minutes from the Gulf of Mexico. It is a great place to enjoy nature and a sky full of stars.
We are looking for retired couples to work in exchange for a FHU site, all utilities including cable TV, high speed Wifi, and free on-site laundry.
You must be willing to work and get along with other camp hosts.
We like to promote a “team” atmosphere. Jobs/tasks include but are not limited to housekeeping, landscaping, office work, maintenance and helping with activities at the clubhouse.
You would have a rotating schedule, 2 days on 4 days off in exchange for a site. We do expect you to pitch in on busy days or when special projects arise. We do not offer paid compensation.

Managers for Lakefront Cabin Rentals in Colorado Rockies - Bayfield, CO

A lakefront lodge is hiring a new manager or managers to run a lakefront cabin rental business in Southwest Colorado.
Our lodge is a year-round cabin rental and recreation business located directly on the shores of Vallecito Lake in Bayfield, Colorado. We operate 11 cabins, a lodge recreation room, bike and kayak rentals and horse stables all set in a majestic location high in the Rocky Mountains. The 5-acre property is about 35 minutes from the town of Bayfield and 45 minutes from Durango. We are located in an ideal spot where the river flows into the lake- it’s a true paradise for anyone outdoorsy.
We are looking to hire either one or two people into a full time, year-round, salaried position to live on-site and manage this established business and help it grow and flourish. The work is most demanding during the summer months (May-September) and most relaxed during the winter (November – March).
The primary job duties include:
-Administrative work such as making and modifying reservations using online booking software, answering phone calls and emails, run biweekly payroll, etc.
-Social media and marketing tasks such as regularly posting to social media channels, collecting guest reviews, taking photos for marketing use, and updating the website content.
-Greeting and checking in guests as well as responding to guest requests and needs during their stays.
-Performing maintenance to the cabins for example, fixing minor plumbing leaks, replacing screen doors, pest control, and painting.
-Operating and maintaining equipment including a golf cart, mower, hot tub, snow blower, non-motorized watercraft etc.
-Landscaping the property. Examples include: mowing, pulling weeds, planting and watering flowers, and raking/removing pine needles. Conducting snow removal.
-Assisting guests with e-bike and watercraft rentals.
-Ordering supplies and tracking expenditures to stay within budget.
-Managing the housekeeping operations including hiring, training and supervising seasonal housekeepers. Assisting with cleaning/laundry and occasionally cleaning cabins, for example in winter when the business is slow.
-Working with leadership to plan future of Elk Point Lodge including developing ideas for additional revenue streams and coordinating repairs and upgrades to the property.
The ideal candidate:
We are hoping to hire one highly motivated individual or a couple, who are passionate about hospitality and excited to live and work in the rural Rocky Mountains.
We are especially interested in candidates with past work experience in the fields of: hospitality, facility maintenance, landscaping, tourism, or marketing.
The managers must be capable and willing to perform physical work such as shoveling snow, cleaning, or moving kayaks.
Because this job includes meeting and interacting with guests, we are looking for someone sociable and kind who will create a warm and welcoming environment for guests.
Applicants must be able to successfully pass a background check.
The anticipated start date for this position is in or around late July, 2023.
The Compensation:
This is a full time, year-round salaried position for one or two people.
There is a very comfortable 2 bedroom, 1,120 square foot apartment located onsite, overlooking the river, that serves as the manager’s residence. No rent is charged, and all reasonable utilities including electric, propane, water, trash, and wifi, are included. Well mannered pets are welcome.
The total salary for one or two people will fall in the range of $30,000 to $50,000. Additional compensation will include a profit based annual bonus.
The compensation includes paid vacation.
